Oh my, MUST I have a creed?
I guess it depends on the situation..........often I think of songs to tell myself what I need to do........for instance, I have two for pulling into the school parking lot........one is "just keep swimming, swimming, swimming" (I use that one at other times too) and one (if I had a bad day the day before) "I get knocked down, but I get up again, you ain't never gonna keep me down".
When I am trying to decide to let my kids do something, I use "Give them wings and let them fly".
When I am worried about my son, I use "Just train 'em the best you can and then cross your fingers and hold on".
I do also use "There but for the Grace of God" especially if one of my sons says something unthoughtful about someone..........
I don't have a one size fits all.
