What's Your Best Way Getting People To Come?

Look, I have been playing VMK since the beginning of time and have seen several if not many techniques in getting people to come into your cute little guest room. My question for you is... What's Yours?? With a new one emerging from the dreams month ("Come here and hope for staff" or something like that) and some old ones in favor along with a new one i just noticed for the past two days is "Come here and possible free item".. but I'm sure it's not new. So pushy or not, please explain your philosophy to getting your people into your rooms.
* Mine is to go in the rom, invite just ONE friend, ask him/her if she likes it and then ask if they could maybe possibly but not for surely invite their friends, and if i play my Uno Cards right, I might get a crowd.

ive actually been surprised the past 2 days how crowded my room was! there was no free in the description or anything like that to come perhaps i just have some really good friends here i mean people were waiting in queue for my room for up to an hour?!?!??!

I just wait and see if people show up. sometimes they do, sometimes they dont.

My personal experience has always been that IF you get a line, its easy to keep a line. The fact you have a line seems to get everyones interest as to what is going on in there.

again... Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

My suggestion is to post your room opening here on the Dis and invite everyone to come!! Many of us go to the posted rooms, it is a nice way to meet great people and make new friends, I know I have!! Also if I go to a room that is very original or has a fun game, I send messages to my friends to join me in the fun!! Give it a shot, you may be pleasantly surprised!

My suggestion is to post your room opening here on the Dis and invite everyone to come!! Many of us go to the posted rooms, it is a nice way to meet great people and make new friends, I know I have!! Also if I go to a room that is very original or has a fun game, I send messages to my friends to join me in the fun!! Give it a shot, you may be pleasantly surprised!

I do that, but i take the effort of actually downloading a picture of it on here, post the room with the pic of it, and everyone just goes "that's nice" and never show up, totally ruining their curiosity >_< I guess the next pro room i make i'll be sure to just describe it and NOT put a pic of it lol.

With my game, I made the title description sound interesting, like an adventure. And yes, I do have "win free" in the title. It doesn't cost anything to play, and you can play as many times as you want until you win (or until I run out of the 50 or so prizes stocked in my quest machine). When I opened the game it filled up very quickly and was the first time I ever had a room with a queue to get in.

I just wait around for people to come, maybe invite some friends. If you can find a way to put free in the room description that works too. XP
