Hi
We're going in Feb half term for 3 days and 2 nights, we haven't been for ages but have been to Florida a few a times. I'm keen to make the most of the time and enjoy it all.
So I just wondered what are your best tips?
They can be anything- foods, rides,money-saving, anything at all.

Thanks

We're staying onsite.

Make use of fastpasses! We hate queueing for more than 15 mins lol so fastpasses are great :thumbsup2

And as you are staying onsite, making use of your EMH is a must.

I also take snacks as it is pricey to buy snacks for 4 of you, probably around 20 euros a time, do that a couple of times a day and it soon adds up! So I take a few cereal bars etc to tide the little uns over, though they are usually so busy having fun they don't want to stop to eat!

Would also say try to find out where the parade will be beginning-we have found that the start is usually not as busy as the end and you can get a decent view that way.

Have a great time!

We'll be there over half term too :)

My best advice would be to take plenty of warm clothes for the kids...last time we went in Feb it was freezing. Have a look at previous threads about the weather. I'm taking salopettes and thick coats for the kids, plus 2 pairs of gloves each, hats, scarves...you get the picture!

We've also bought the half board vouchers which seem to be highly recommended on the forum, as they work out cheaper (you have to buy them before you travel though).

Make use of EMH and fastpasses.

Also to avoid huge character scrums in the park pop to the Disneyland Hotel for 4pm, the kids dance with the characters etc and its not so mobbed.

I agree with Angel-girls advice of watching the parade at the start! If you watch it up by SMall world, then when it's passed you it hasn't even got to most of main street, and you can enjoy lots of quiet rides while others are still watching!! :)

POTC was a walk on everytime we did this!

Hi, definitely buy the hb vouchers - you will save money! Ours cost me £150 for hb+ for 2 adults and 2 children. The meal bills added up to £240, so quite a saving. Also buy some fastpasses off ebay (French ebay is cheaper for these) as half term might be quite busy. Take tea/coffee and ask for a kettle. We did this and it was nice to have a cuppa before we went to bed.;)

Hi
Thanks for all the tips! Thats great to know about clothing for the kids.
I won't be able to do HB though because I have a cast member room so can't add on any package stuff.
The fastpasses are a great idea too, does anyone have any experience of buying fastpasses? How did they get on with them? and could you recommend any selllers?

Thanks

Im going the weekend end of feb half term, I definately recommend the ski suits gloves hats etc, we went the same time last time we went and it snowed whilst there and the lake was frozen over!!! I already have snow boots for myself and my son (off of ebay) been wearing them the last few days around thehouse to make sure they wont hurt me (will take my crocs to be on the safe side though lol).

Enjoy and have a fantastic time x

You will be able to use your entrance tickets as fastpasses-pop them into the machines and they will print out a fastpass per ticket. You then can't get another fastpass until that one has expired (exception- in v busy times you can get a new fastpass about 4 hours later even if orig one not expired yet).
I know some people on here have bought them off E-Bay too and they generally seem to be OK, but I haven't done that myself.

Also would reiterate the point about warm clothing-it was freezing :sad2: when we were there couple of weeks ago!

i am getting worried about the cold myself lol

make the most of breakfast and get there early!!

Mixednuts-see you there!

I've bought some ski clothing for the kids, but they don't have boots, should I consider ski boots?

we should all meet up even for a quick drink in the evening, seems like there will be a few of us there at the same time

i already have the weather gear, with both my DS and DD playing in football teams we are ready for all weather, that and the fact we always go in feb or around that time, due to my daughters medical condtion

who else is going then :confused3

Hi mixednuts
I would love to meet up but am only there for 2 full days and plan to do one long day in each park, so I' m worried that I won't have enough time for everything!!
If only I were there for longer..

Also buy some fastpasses off ebay (French ebay is cheaper for these) as half term might be quite busy.
I was unaware of being able to BUY fastpasses. I thought these are only issued as day of tickets that you must use your park pass at the kiosk to attain. Please correct me if I am wrong.:confused3

You use your normal park entrance pass (either day ticket, pass or annual pass) to obtain a fast pass at a ride which then gives you a time to return however you cannot hold more than one FP at a time and often there is a wait of several hours before you can return. What some of us have done (myself included) is buy extra FPs from Ebay which gives you chance to hold more than 1 FP at a time.
We tend to use them to get 2 lots for the same ride - usually BTM- so we can ride twice in a row or you could use one for FP from one ride or another for another ride. As we can only go peak times we find this really useful

I don't understand, how are you able to buy a fastpass when they are issued the day of only with a park ticket? I am simply confused. Thanks for helping me understand.

The ones you buy off Ebay are slightly different in that they are unlimited - can be used as many times as you want to get another FP - in other words they are like another entrance ticket except they dont allow you entrance to the park.
