What's your best crockpot recipe?

Hawaiian Chicken sounds yummy!

Since it is Saturday and I really don't feel like thinking about dinner, I just started Buffalo Chicken in the crockpot.

Boneless Chicken Breasts
Envelope of Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning
12 oz Franks Hot Sauce
1 tbsp butter

Will have it as wraps later today. Easy and tasty.:cool1:

Mmmmm, I have some of this frozen in the freezer from the last time I made it. It makes a ton. We prefer cream cheese in place of the butter. We think it makes it creamier and not quite as runny.

Thanks for sharing this I am definitely going to have to try this.

Got a new crock-pot to replace my frustratingly too hot one. I made the Baked Potato soup recipe first thing! It was so good! When I warmed up the left overs I added some Velveeta and liked it even more.

With the spate of crockpot threads on the boards lately, along with a wet day, I was inspired to do stew in the crockpot today. Eating it right now while doing the Dis. yummy

Easiest and tastiest crock pot recipe.

Beef roast (your choice)
Jar of pepperoncini's

Put the beef in the crock pot and dump the jar of pepperoncini's on top. Cook on low for about 6-8 hours until it's done. Shred the beef and serve on buns. It's delicious!

We make that but we also put a packet of Lipton onion soup mix and a can of mushroom soup in the pot with it. Soooo good!!

Hmmm....love the addition of the Lipton onion soup mix. Would add alot of flavor. I'm not fond of cream of mushroom soup, but adding either some fresh or jarred mushrooms at the end would be good. Thanks for the idea...can't wait to try it!

Do the peppercinnis add spiciness? I was told by someone that it didn't. If they don't, what do they do to the flavor? Is the juice from the jar a factor? My son won't eat anything with a hint of spiciness so I'm hesitant.

I'm not a fan of pepperoncini's on their own so I was hesitant to try this recipe at first, but I do not find any overt taste of pepperooncini's in the finished product. I do use mild pepperoncini's, so that may make a difference. Maybe the length of cooking time mellows the pepperoncini flavor. I'm not sure how to describe the flavor. Truthfully, I find most meat cooked in a crockpot tastes like boiled meat (ugh), but have not found that with this recipe. The pepperoncini gives the beef flavor, but not spice.

I find that Greek pepperoncinis are not as spicy, but yeah, I've made some HOT batches. Lol. Serving over egg noodles can help a bit.

That's! Good to know!

May I ask what new crock pot you have? I'm in the market and am on the fence. My crock pot brand slow cooker cooks waaaay tooo hot lately and has burned the last two meals I made in it.

Easy Baked Potato Soup

-1 pkg frozen hashbrowns
-2 cans chicken broth (I've also thrown in a few bouillon cubes with water)
-1 can cream of chicken soup
-diced onion to taste (I use dried flakes)
-1 block of cream cheese (low fat is OK but not FF)

Put everything except the cream cheese in the crockpot. Cook on low all day. 1 hour before serving cut up the cream cheese & stir it in. Whisk the soup to blend in the cream cheese before serving. Top with shredded cheese, bacon, green onions, broccoli, etc. Basically whatever you would put on top of a baked potato.
This is SO good. Thick & creamy. We NEVER have leftovers & the kids would lick the crock if I let them!

What size cans of chicken broth do you use? I am assuming not the big ones, right?

Made this again today with some tweaking. I used three regular cans of Swanson's broth and a package of potatoes O'Brien. When I used the shredded they fell apart and thicened up the soup too much. I used a Dutch oven and cooked on the stove on medium, softned the cream cheese in the microwave and added slowly, Let simmer for over an hour to give the cheese time to melt. Turned out perfect. Total cook time was around two hours on medium low to simmer. Hope this helps!

Hi, I got the Hamilton Beach Stay or Go 7qt. It was $31 on Amazon. It's not programmable , but I don't really need that capability. I've heard good reviews on all Hamilton Beach models.

I'm really amazed and confused at the number of people that have experienced their Rival *Crockpot* brand cooking too hot and burning food :confused3 I've only owned this brand, and currently have a 6qt. oval which cooks perfectly. In fact, I'm cooking chicken tonight. Just wonder what would cause one to cook too hot

I couldn't believe it either and struggled for years thinking it was just ME and fiddling with cooking times, etc....I even emailed Rival and they were not helpful at all. They just told me this is the new Way it is and I had to learn to deal with it (not those exact words). If you haven't had a problem you are lucky. Take good care of that pot!

I believe the problem is really poor quality control. Not all pots are too hot, but enough of them are...

Chicken Black Bean

Place frozen boneless chicken breast on bottom of crock pot
Dump a can of black beans
pinto beans
cream of corn
a jar of salsa (I use chi-chi medium)
and a jar of chi-chi black bean & corn salsa.

I let this cook on low all day.

Serve over rice.

Top with cream cheese - Delicious!

I just made this for the first time today and it was yummy!

1 roll of Italian sausage (browned and crumbled)
2 cans Italian seasoned tomatoes
1 can chicken broth
1 bag frozen cheese tortellini
1 small bag fresh spinach
8 oz cream cheese cubed (I used 1/3 less fat)

mix all and cook on low for 4 hours

Enjoy!

Is Franks Hot Sauce hot wing sauce? How much chicken do you use for the 12 oz? Is it really spicy? Sounds good, just want to make sure I didn't make it too hot for my picky kid!
