We will be staying at the boardwalk Villa's in July and was wondering what your favorite things are to do there. We have 2 children DD4 and DS1.

Thanks! :teeth:

Surrey bike road around the Epcot resort area.

Water mice (available for rental at the YC marina).

Eating at the restaurants is also great fun

Hi, Two things come to mind,Bakery-Just WONDERFUL! And Ice Cream/Candy Store! I am sure with two small children you will be visiting BOTH!! Joan

We love the carinval type games they have in the evening. If you go in the early evening when the games are first opening, you are almost guaranteed to win a prize. My DS (5) loves to play the water gun game. Usually at that time it is just him and I playing, so one of us will win a prize. We also like to watch the entertainment, my DS loves the magician type act.

This is a great thread! :)

We are staying at the Yacht Club this October and look forward to checking out the Boardwalk area. :)

One of my most magical memories happened at the Boardwalk. We were staying in the villas and were on our way back to our rooms after a long day/evening at EPCOT. This man (magician) came walking up to my son, stopped us and starting pulling things from his ears, etc. Pretty soon a crowd had gathered and my son and the magician were in the middle of a large group looking on. After a lot of tricks and laughs the magician made my son a balloon hat and thanked him for his help. Of course everyone applauded and my son just felt like he had been a part of something very special. It was so unplanned and so spontaneous that it made one of those "magical" memories that we all love so much. There's always something going on at the Boardwalk and the ones you don't plan on are the best!!:teeth:

Stop at Seashore Sweets for frozen yogurt, chocolate for me and chocolate-vanilla swirl for DW. Low fat (but certainly not low calorie :)).

I don't know if he is there every night, but on our last trip this past December, I walked over to Spoodles' carry-out window to order some pasta. I had about a 15 minute wait, so I saw this crowd gathering just across from Spoodles' main entrance. I walked over there and here was this juggler, clubs and all putting on a performance. I swear that there were at least 30 people standing around and watching this guy. He had everyone in stitches, and it just wasn't a demonstration. Audience participation was welcomed and in fact encouraged.

Just walk around there in the evening. There's always something fun going on.

DH and I really enjoy ESPN Club. They do a "Sports Center" type show during supper time and have sports celebs doing interviews. This past January DH and I met a guy from the NY Jets. DH is a HUGE sports fan so he found this very cool. We were able to meet the player and get a picture and autograph.

Your DD age 4 might enjoy getting a hair wrap or face painting on the BW.

We love ESPN (fun) and Spoodles.

The BW entertainers are so fun, we love Carlo the fire eater("never, never, ever play with fire at home..... play with fire at friend's house"), the baseball musicians, card shark etc....

Dessert from the bakery everynight!

The rocking chairs on the veranda.

The Villa clubhouse (community hall) is a neat place.

The bar at the Luna Park Pool, love those Corona beers and Margaritas while the kids are swimming (ok, my kids are older than yours... might be tough with a 1 yr. ole  ).

Rent a Surrey bike, fun and funny!

I could go on and on, we have stayed at BWI twice and love it. Next trip kids want to stay YC/BC for the pool, I guess we can always walk over or hop the boat for our BW fix!:teeth:

Thanks guys! Its sounds like we will like staying there. Still keep the ideas coming if you have any. :wave2:

Community Hall for the kids! They make crafts with them,(from 1pm-4pm) different days they make different ones. They have games and movies in there, popcorn machine. Perfect in not so good weather or just a break from the sun! DD loved it in there.(she was 5yo on our last visit Nov.2003) They also have poolside games.

Face painting.
Carnival type games.
Strolling entertainment.
Hanging out soaking up the atmosphere!
Watching the higher up fireworks from Illuminations.
DH and my sis loved the slide at the main pool.
The meatball heros from the take out window at spoodles!! Yummy!!!!
The M&M's at the candy store! They have every color imaginable!

We love everything about this place! This coming Nov. will be our 3rd time there. The resort is just so beautiful, the atmosphere is so nice. The location is perfect!! I wish I was there right now!!

Desnik - or anyone else, are the activities below only for Beach Club resort guests or can other resort guests join in on the fun (for a fee?)

Sharon 78 - Yes, I would say around 6pm - 7pm. On our trip last May, I think we had dinner at 5 or 5:30 at ESPN and then walked the Boardwalk and my DS won 2 stuffed animals.

If you are staying at another Disney property (FW) are you allowed to stroll the Boardwalk at night do some of these things? This sounds like a fun evening as an alternative to the parks or parades.

I'd say visit the restaurants...especially espn club and Big River Grille...
