What's with the ugly Fiona

I thought the Ogre princess was the one that showed that beauty is not what is on the outside. I always thought she should be the one that is displayed at Universal.

Thank you. I think the OP was rather insensitive. You do know that there are real people who play the characters, right? There was a thread a few months ago about an ugly Cinderella and the OP of that thread was told just how rude that was. Several Disney characters really got their feelings hurt when they saw their pictures. I'd certainly hate to see that happen here. Real people with real feelings play the characters with very little pay, in the Florida heat. They do it graciously for the joy they give others. Calling someone fat and ugly is just rude.

go and apply for a 'face' character position and see where you get cast.

What does character integrity have to do with being fat and ugly? Your original post was complaining about Fiona not being the pretty princess but now you are saying it is all about the lack of character. Did you not like her because she was the ogre princess or because she wasn't playing the role very well? You seemed to have changed the nature of your post.

Actually, I have been an actor at Universal. I just recently left. What is missing is character integrety. Universal use to be so picky about the person portraying a character. Management must really be lowing their standards to fill their positions. I know many of their actors have left for Disney.

UO pays more than WDW does.

I suspect Fiona was sick and they had to have a back-up. Characters leaving for Disney? Haven't heard that one although I do know several Disney CMs that have come over to Universal. Maybe the "ugly" Cinderella that was being talked about in the other thread transferred to Universal.

Joking aside, I think your post is just seems a little shallow and I hope that Fiona doesn't read here. The last time I saw Fiona, a few days ago, she was beautiful.

When was this? The only one we saw was a spitting image of the animated character and quite cute. She was like major short though, so much I was surprised when I saw first saw her. Not a bad thing, just something I have never seen.

I too have seen this Fiona and was very surprise... she does not fit the chacter at all. I mean from an actors prospective I really don't understand why they cast her. People always say well casting is discriminatory BLAH BLAH BLAH but COME ON you have to make sure that the person in the costume protrays the chacter corrcectly. Fiona is a small chacter the role needs to be played by a small person... she is to big for it. I'm not being rude either I am a larger person and in a million years would NEVER hoped to be cast as Fiona because the she should be played by someone who fits the bill!

Like someone said before, these are real people with real feelings! It is incredibly insensitive to post photos to insult someone on a public board.

WOW! We were just there and the Fiona that we saw was DARLING! In fact, she was so cute, that I told her she was just the cutest thing!

But I totally agree with others - these are real people with real feelings. I have to say that I'm just grateful that they do what they do - spread the magic for people like me!

We were at the park recently and saw the most ugly Fiona ever. Nobody was having their picture taken with her. Most were just looking at her and walking to Shrek and Donkey and had nothing to do with her. What happened to the cute ones. I thought they were true Princesses.

Maybe they are starting testing Oger Fiona. That would be a shame. Universal typically prides itself on great actors.

I'm not saying I want her fired at all I'm just saying its not fair that someone NOT FULFLLING her role should be allowed to play her when she does not properly protray her.

I can only assume that she is fulfilling her role. It is your "opinion" that she is not. And you know what they say about opinions.
