What's with the Jesus skywriting?

We just returned today from a week at WDW. On Monday and Tuesday of last week we saw a skywriter over the parks and resorts. We were at Epcot when at first, he just made a a cute smilely face in the sky and we took a picture of it. Then the skywriter continued for hours writing messages about Jesus. It was very odd. It happened at least two days maybe more but we did not see it. We couldn't help wondering if anyone knows who this skywriter is or who is sending him over WDW with these messages. My first thought was that something wasn't right about this because I thought the FAA has a no-fly zone over all of WDW because of security. Anybody know the scoop on this?

That's funny. When we were staying at OKW in August I saw Jesus loves U being written. Still doing it, wow.

When we were at Epcot in June we had the same Jesus message from a skywriter. You're right...I also thought that WDW was a no fly zone.

We saw it a little over 2 weeks ago too. My sister overheard a tour guide telling her group that the pilot would be heavily fined because the air space is controlled and there are no planes allowed there. They either haven't caught him yet or $$$$ is no object!

You will see the sky writer most every weekend.... This is not something new or unusual. My first photos are from January, but I probably have at least one from every month! I can't say during the week, as I am not in the parks as often. It is rare that we don't see it whenever we are in the parks or DTD.

As explained on the other thread, the no-fly zone is under 3,000 feet. (Google "Disney World no fly zone" or something similar for articles about this.) Skywriters, unlike those planes dragging banners, operate at higher altitudes so the no-fly zone doesn't affect them. (You can also google this if you, like me, like proof!)

second of all he doesn't do it directly over the property. He does it just off property somewhere near epcot. he's so high up however that it looks like he's on top of you.

We saw it too last Nov./Dec. at POP. I must say that I enjoy seeing the "good news" spread.

We live 3 hours south and a few years ago we had the same thing, one day it would be a smilie face, a heart, God loves you, Jesus says hi, etc etc....

Of courrrrrrse I missed a whole thread about this. I typed in "Jesus skywriter" in the search and that thread was not one of the first to pop up.

I am still interested in finding out who this mystery person is and how they get all this money to skywrite about Jesus everyday. Interesting.
