I'm glad to see a few others see the prices as excessive. And as someone mentioned, people are willing to pay it, it seems the general consensus is that people AREN'T willing to pay it and bring their own. I, too, bring my own. I also bring my own on the ship, BUT I still get a drink of the day or two, a drink at PALO, a drink at CC, and NO I'm not a lush. :goodvibesOne or two a day on vacation is usually the only time I drink anymore. The prices are high, it's a fact. I don't have a problem getting a drink at Epcot either, I just think it'd be cool if they cut us members a break at the pools.

I know on the ships they used to sell the refillable cups for pop/soda for $35 each for a 7 day. People complained on the boards, people complained on comment cards and they now offer free pop/soda, so our opinion does matter. I know that they have built it into the cost, but it still is nice to not have to buy the mugs.

I'll take both sides. They are in line with other similar locations and they are all too high.

It saddens me to think what is served in WS is all some know to be margaritas and Mexican food. Trust me, that weak bottle mix is not the beauty of a margarita. Although after dealing w/crowds, kids, and the alternative being a lukewarm Budlight, I suppose they aren't too shabby. :rotfl:

Gosh I haven't been on Disboards for a while, I don't remember people being so nasty to each other. Why are some of you jumping all over the OP? She had a legitimate comment. No there is isn't anything wrong with enjoying drinks while relaxing on vacation at a resort and it doesn't mean she'll be stumbling around drunk as I read in an earlier comment! I agree they do sound overpriced and no I don't live in NYC or DC. But I do live in a large metropolitan area.

Man, I tell you what, the most expensive drink I have EVER had IN MY LIFE was the "koolaide" that I drank when I closed on my DVC...:drinking1

This thread has run its course. It is not DVC specific and is more suited to either resorts or cruise boards. DVC does not mandate any prices on any drinks anywhere.

Thanks all.
