I've used SS 3 times in the past 4 months from SNA to DLR, and it has been $10 in each direction on all 3 occasions. In addition, I've been able to use a coupon code to save $3 each way. I thought that was a bargain and expected it would go up, but I just checked the fare today and I'm getting a price of $24 each way! What happened? That's quite an increase!!!! They now list a lower rate for each passenger after #1 ($9), which is still too high. That seems like it would backfire to me. Who wouldn't just get a taxi at those rates?

You used the zip code, didn't you? Rather than using the hotel?

Using the zip code I get 24 and 9 for subsequent passengers, but just choosing a hotel randomly (used Anabella), I get their usual 10 per.

Ahhhhh!!! Thanks!! I thought it seemed weird to go up so much in one fell swoop. And yes, you're right, that's exactly what I did--zip code rather than hotel.

It is the same 3 dollars off each way...I just call and say Entertainment rate. She did say some of the hotels have different rates when I talked to the SS lady a few weeks ago.

Thanks! I didn't realize there was an ent. rate for SS!

Okay the UYR59 rate is for 6.00 off round trip PER PARTY..the entertainment rate is 2.00 per way PER PERSON!

You can get around that by making separate reservations for each person. That's what I do since they stopped letting you get the rate per person on one booking.
