What's with all the really old threads?

I signed on this evening and there are a bunch of super old threads at the top of the page, with recent comments-some are five years old!!! What's that all about?

I was thinking the same thing. I think someone went too far back looking for threads. I am glad someone else saw that also.

im one them. I was looking back at all kinds of threads. and commnted. then they moved up. but none were 5 years that i know of. i was on page 8
also i was reading stickys of mary jos and might of responded witch might of been older

The birthday one that you made a comment on was originally from June 02- so yes, it is 5 years old. Most of the info from that long ago is going to be outdated. Its probably best to not bump those really old ones up, it makes things confusing.

um well i found it on page 5 or 8. If its that old from the orignal post maybe but i thought one the last posts befor me was just last year or this..

Don't worry about it, it happens all the time on all the boards here on the dis. Somebody does a search and brings one back from the dead so to speak! I usually only look at the date on the last post or two and thats what most people do. By the time you realize the orginal post is old, its too late and already back up on page one! Usually, people will figure out its outdated and it will slip back again. Just something that happens on message boards!
