Got a call today, asking if I wanted to stay in Transportation, offered me attractions, character attendant, and Bell services if I did not. Now I am an attractions cp. Funny thing I know of at least one other cp that this happened to.:confused3

I have heard of several other transportation people receiving the same call. Something about that role being over filled and that trans people will most likely only be bus greeters. Who knows whats up but it is interesting.

Labor needs are always subject to change. They may have decided that they didn't need as many CPs.

Florida-Site Transportation is undergoing a major restructuring at the moment, and I have heard that they will be reducing their CP Percentage and increasing the percentage of FT/CR Cast going forward as a major part of that. However, you never really know.

I just finished my transportation CP. They did this back in August as well when we had 3 cp's leaving my department and still everyone had their hours cut but we were still being given 6 cp's. Basically the role gets really overfilled since there are not a lot of spaces for CP's there.

Hi all, I also got accepted for transportation (I'm arriving on the 22nd,start on the 25th) I haven't received a call yet but I was wondering what do the people on transportation do? From what I've heard some get to drive monorails, ferrys and horse carriage, is that true or are they really bus greeters? (I wasn't expecting to be that lol)

Most go to the monorails, FriendShip boats (Epcot and where I worked, awesome job!), the Magic Kingdom Watercraft, or are bus greeters. Not a lot have done the bus greeter role since it was just added this fall though. Magic Kingdom watercraft does include the ferry but there are three levels of boats there and you have to work you way up from the two resort boats first. It takes about 6 months from what I was told so the likelihood of you making it to the ferry on a CP are pretty slim.
