What's up with Thunder and Splash Mountain?

For our trip (15 days! I was looking at moving a couple of fast passes around. For some weird reason, there are plenty of fastpasses left for 7DMT, Peter Pan, etc. But there are NO fastpasses at all for Big Thunder Mountain or Splash! Is this normal now?

thunder is closing middle august for a big refurb so not surprised that it's rough to get one a weeks before it closes. your also going just after the disunplugged megameet so i'm sure there is hundreds from this forum that know it's closing going to be at disney.

no clue about splash except it's next door
