what's up with this January?

Geez, last January we had the place to ourselves for weeks and this year we can't get a spot.
We're even having a hard time looking into February

I just checked for feb 7-21 and all that came up was a tent site. To top that off the rate changed on the 13 to 89.00 dollars a night. I don't think I will be paying that. I guess they are trying to keep out the rif-raf.

I have been trying online for MLK week-end and only 2 nights are available out of 4. I was wondering if this was a real popular week-end at FW.

Thanks!! I will keep trying and hope for the best. I called CRO and was so frustrated. The CM was not happy when I asked her to check night by night to see if any nights were available. I ended up hanging up. Five minutes of answering the same questions over and over for 30 seconds of no availability. And even though we had just been in August with our now 12yr old DD the CM asks if she is 8 yrs old. Why do we give all this info if they never update their records.

That might be because of the Disney Marathon, but I really don't know.

January was tough to get this year. I've stayed there for the Marathon Weekend for the last three years and never had a problem getting reservations until this year.

I started trying in May and was told that the Fort was booked full for January. I just kept trying and finally was able to make my January reservations at the end of July.

I don't think it is the marathoners that are filling up the Fort. It seems that there are usually only a couple dozen runners that stay at FW based on my experience from the last three years. It is more likely that they are holding back reservations because of the renovations.

My wife called just last week and got 9 days for the week of the 24th of January for a "preferred" site. We not any issues at all.
