What's up with The Tusker House???

Been trying to get lunch reservations to this place for the week of Dec. 11-16th for over a month! Nothing available.

Is there something going on I don't know about. This place is usually not a hard reservation to get, especially for lunch.

The same thing is happening for the first week and a half in February. There is nothing for lunch at all on any of these days.

Having the same problem Also trying for December. Maybe they are holding those dates back for Disney guests only or some special groups or something? Any Disney guests having trouble?

I disagree. Donalds breakfast is very popular. Many people, our family included view this as one of the best character breakfasts. It also gets us up and at AK early so we can do the safari before the crowds build.

I called at 180 days for our trip and the full 10 days weren't available for lunch, just breakfast and dinner. I kept trying and then all of a sudden they just opened up.

I think it is another glitch (especially if breakfast is free and lunch isn't), just keep trying and hopefully it will sort itself out.

Not much you can do other than be diligent and keep checking frequently...particularly closer to your trip.

I have the same problem, been trying to get lunch for dec 15-24, checked everyday we're there, and nothing.

Tusker house is extremely popular for breakfast because of the character meal. Lunch should be available though. Maybe call instead. A CM could probably tell you why it's not showing availability for lunch on those days.

Read about Tusker on other Disney sites before our trip in Jan. and it was listed as "the place to go" at AK. Got lunch reservations, wait was still longest of trip. I was rocking baby whole meal, but 3 other adult dinners either said fav meal of trip or easy top 2. Waiters and Waitresses were so of nicest, on was telling me how to pack up and sneak out some food since I mostly missed the meal. Guess the word is out about Tusker! Good luck and keep trying! Hope we can get in on return trip...

When I booked the Candellight Processional for 12/3, I had the CM check for Tusker House lunch but nothing was available on 12/6. She thought it was unusual and did some checking and she said that the availability had not been released for the whole week. So, it seems that they do hold the lunch back beyond the 180 day window. I'm trying to book the 1 p.m. lunch to do the reserved Nemo seats.

I did get an 8:10 a.m. Breakfast just in case I miss out on the lunch.

Im on the same boat as the rest of you. I have been checking for lunch at Tusker House for the December 8 or 9 since June with no luck... oh well... hope something opens up soon.

Same here, I have been checking since June and also called to be told that inventory availability had not been released (which is odd considering all other inventory is available across other locations).

Inventory is available only through Dec 3rd and has been this way since June.

There are other threads that indicate the same thing happened for November but I have not been able to obtain at which date (days out) it was finally released.

Already did my daily check today and still nothing. Will keep checking as this is a must do in my DisFam.

Speaking of TH...
I have a choice of 8:10 am on a day when AK opens at 9am or 10:20 am on a day that it is EMH and opens at 8am. I am leaning towards the 10:20 b/c we can do rides from 8-10 and then break for brunch.
What do you guys think?

Without a doubt I'd go for the 10:20. It's an EMH morning so if you'll be in the park for the EMH hours anyway then why would you want to spend that precious time in a restaurant? The 10:20 ADR will mean a couple solid hours of touring and then a nice character breakfast. It's not like the 8:10 ADR would get you the benefits of a pre-opening ADR like it normally would. You won't be able to send somebody to get a FP at park opening, you won't get ahead of the RD geusts and you won't be able to get a picture in front of the tree with no other guests in your shot. Aren't these things the whole point of an ADR before 9am?

The one at 8:10 is actually on a different day and that day is not an emh morning, so we would get in before the park opened. However, I think that it would be pushing it, as the park would probably already have been open 15 mins or so when we got finished eating. I am going to stick with the 10:20 on the emh day...sounds perfect
