What's Up with the Poll?

OK, someone explain to me why 58% of the people who answered the poll picked the new hairstyles as their favorite change?!?!?!?!

I can't believe it!

The matching teleporters, that's a perfect feature! The turn trade off - made my life a Godsend! But the hair? Sure if you like the Farrah Fawcett look from the 70s, the flip is great, the other looks like I stuck my virtual head in a virtual blender, and the poor guys - stubble?

What gives?!?

If you agree, get out there and vote, early and often!

Hey, we're not all dis board people who understand what VMK wants us to do with there game! Many peopel who play VMK just care about fasion. Seriously, I want on the insider tour and the girl I went with on the tour kept blabbing about her hair and all teh princess outfits she had. All I cared about was the Code cards!!! But, I got my wish and got all the code cards! But, so yeah, a lot of VMK'ers are girls and a lot of them are about fashion.

While I agree that somehow the poll seems a little off. I voted on the no trade side but was torn by the matching teleporters. As we look around VMK I see the vast majority of the girls have chose the new style and or color so that could be part of the issue. Accoding to a recent poll I took (made up figures follow) 50% of vmk people don't look at home page often and of those that look 75% don't answer the poll. Of those that answer the poll 80% are females. So based on these made up numbers, it could account for the poor representation in the polls for the other choices.

Just having some fun, off to vote again.

Maybe we should run the same poll here at Dis see how it factors in.

Im sorry but I think thats is inncorrect. Im only 12 years of age and my favorite new feature is the matching teleporter feature. So, not ALL children are all pefer the New Hair instead of other new features. So I dont think that is an explaination. And plus matybe the board has more adults then children.

I didn't even get a chance to vote. For some reason I just see the results when the polls are up and I don't get to vote. This has happened to me since the new site was put up. So that might be a factor if anyone else has that problem.

Personally, I think its not a matter of age. Just depends on what you really like about VMK. If you wear hats all the time, maybe you don't really care about the hair.

Hmm, this should only happen if you are sharing an IP. It only takes one vote per IP address. Does anyone else in your house play? Do you have wireless? If yes make sure it is secure. If anyone else picked up you signal and voted or anyone in your house voted you can not.

Same with me, and my daughter uses VMK pal so she didn't vote. She just logs on and goes. Last two polls just showed the results, even after clearing temp. internet files.

Mine didn't let me vote either and absolutely nobody else has access to my internet connection I most certaintly would not have chosen the hair too since I am not a big fan of them lol. It is nice they made something with a bit more body but did it have to be so BIG. Oh well all the other changes certaintly made up for that

Lol, when I read that DaraSue I just cracked up! I was looking forward to new hairstyles; until I saw them! Anyways I would have to say I like seeing the multiple stars the best because you know exactly what you're getting in trades. The flashing teleporters I also found to be quite helpful while I designed my tron room

Well considering the fact that there were so many brats who enjoyed bugging the heck outta people with unwanted trade requests, the poll results don't surprise me. But for those of us on the receiving end of those constant annoying unwanted trade requests, the change is a Godsend.

No one else in my family plays, but we have separate computers, so that's not the problem. I have wireless and it is secure, but I haven't been playing on wireless. So, who knows what the problem is. (and that is rhetorical) I would have voted for the turning off the trade request, if I could vote.
