What's up with The Garden Grill?

I got 6:30 on sept 15 yesterday. That was the earliest I could get. I was trying for a table for 3. My husband is taking my sons and I am taking my daughter to norway for the princess dinner. So frustrating to have to do it so late.
 
One thing that has worked for me is to take the time you can get and then try again at 45 days prior. Unfortunately, many people get to the time when they have to pay their balance or lose their deposit and end up cancelling just before. I have gotten CRT, GG and LeCellier with this technique when they were all booked for my entire vaca before. The other option is to check with lobby concierge or guest sevices in the park when you arrive. especially if it's raining!
 
I tried calling earlier this evening. The castmember w/ whom I spoke was just as confused as we are... she couldn't figure out why there aren't any earlier Garden Grill times.

I'm looking for something earlier on 9/12, and, at first, she speculated that maybe the restaurant is booked earlier for some sort of special event on 9/12. I told her I was a member of a Disney messageboard & that people were reporting that they couldn't get ADRs earlier than 6:30 for the entire week. So she looked & agreed - there's nothing available at Garden Grill earlier than 6:30 pm & she had no idea why. She actually used the words that the "Garden Grill is blocked out until 6:30 pm." :confused3

She told me to keep trying & that the earlier times might open up.

Maybe someone else will get a different response or maybe talk to a castmember that has some inside knowledge! ;)

It really makes me wonder what's going on w/ Garden Grill for that time period...

Thanks for posting...I will keep trying closer to our arrival date to see if anything else pops up earlier....I was guessing because we were a table for 2 they figured we were adults and would want a leter time....thanks Kchughes for the tip about 45 days....I will try then too...
 
why don't you try calling instead of going online? i think sometimes talking to the CM helps. (at least it has for me in the past)
 

Not sure why you're having a problem.

I have reservations there on 9/12 and 9/17 at 5:20 and 5:30 respectively.

I did call and talk to someone. I plan to keep trying, my other problem is I need a ressie for Akerhurs at the same time for my dd and myself. dh is taking my 2ds to garden grill.
