I guess my subject line says it all.....what is up with that pin? I was in our store for trading on Tuesday night and this pin was nowhere to be see. I don't know when it was released but saw it on the Dizneypins site and called my store on Friday. They had two left. I have five grandchildren, so I've been calling surrounding stores. NO ONE HAS ANY LEFT!!!! Is this a LE or is Disney starting something with a small release amount? Does anyone know??

All of the stores in our area sold out within the first day. I did find one on the rack this weekend, while at another store. My sister lives near Baltimore and her store sold out in a couple of hours. I think the price had a lot to do with it selling out also.

I was told that they only rec'd 2 boxes in our store. Maybe its more LE than they their letting on.

We had plenty at our store. (as of Saturday evening at least)

At the stores I've been checking I've been told that they're being bought up like crazy almost faster than the CMs can get them out on the floor. I'm sure they're so popular because (1) they light up, (2) they're patriotic, and (3) they're $4 which is the cheapest you can pay for a tradable pin.

I only saw one on the rack when I went to my store on Saturday but the Manager had them at the front counter. There were at least 20 there.

They sold out fast in Omaha too, so I was told. (Where RARELY ANY pin sells out fast! ;) )
The CM said they too only recieved two boxes in.

Well....my advice......don't worry if you can't find one.
YOU can't make them light up anyway! :)

We haven't had any problems getting ours to light up....

I was at the Disney Store last night & traded with another guest for one of the 4th of July light-up pins. I hadn't been to the Store in about three weeks, so I missed the pins when they first came out. Anyway he had three extra light-ups because he hopes to be at WDW for the holiday.

He showed me how to get the pin to light up. He suggested using a pen to push the little button. It worked in the Store last night & it worked for me again today :).

I did gather from this guest & another guest that the supply was very limited at the store.

snowgoose,

I believe cheappins is actually selling them now for $3.97.

David --- that's not the light up pin that's all the rave.
The pin in question has Mickey only and the flag in the background with "fireworks" that light up when you push a small button on the back.

Speaking of pushing said small button, Lynnie --- we always knew you were special. ;) In your defense though, you can NOT get the little bugger to light up by using a finger or nail. I had to use the tip of a pen and push rather firmly.

Hi Guys,
While I was at the Reno, NV store yesterday (buying up the state pins) they had atleast 20 on the rack. The CM asked me if I wanted any of them (hard selling me ;) ). FYI

Well darn it, I've checked 3 stores here in NC and I can't find the pin! Our July calendar pin sold out fast too, but I was able to find that one in Charlotte
