What's up with the crappy hours for July 4th Week

ive been out of pocket for awhile but what is the deal no extended hours July 4th week at MK?? Knowing its one of the busiest weeks of the summer. Is this some new BS I've missed? I remember we went that week in 2013 it was open till like 3am with ext hours

1. It is still too early to take July hours as gospel. People are still moaning about the shortened hours for June, only to be advised that hours might get extended right up to the last minute. But as of right now, June 1-7, 2016 are posted to have 99 operating hours (excluding EMH) at the MK whereas June 1-7, 2015 had 107. There is still time for that to change, but they are cutting it close as June 1 is less than two weeks away.

Jimmy, I enjoyed your analysis on that. I hope you'll keep adding as the months go by, and maybe keep a link to it in your signature so we can keep an eye on the trend over time..

OP, keep do a search for threads relating to hours over Easter this year. It was very last minute when they finally added the earlier opening times in the MK, although they did not add all the early EMH hours they had done in years gone by.

For the seven days surrounding Easter, (the three days before Easter, plus Easter itself, plu the three days after Easter), 2016 vs. 2015 stacked up like this:

2016 = 115 total hours, including EMH
2015 = 128 total hours, including EMH

Given that Disney just announced "extended" hours for the beginning of June, I think it is unlikely that June 1-7 will be any different than what I posted above. But July 1-7 could certainly change.

AK hours for July have been updated. No other parks that I can tell.
