What's up with EMM in MK?

Does anyone know what's up with Early Morning Magic in the MK? Is it not being offered any longer? I was thinking about doing it in January.

We don't know anything until the Extra Extra Magic Hours are done on 11/2. Maybe they will announce before that ends, but that is why it isn't happening now.

Yup, on hiatus during EEMH - presumably to return at some point, but no new dates announced yet.

I suspect they will either stop the special run of MK early openings after 11/2 therefore - in theory - allowing things like MK EMM to continue to be offered as they have in the past... OR they continue the early morning openings and/or EMHs through the holidays and the second SWGE ride opening to continue to disperse crowds around the parks. Will be interesting to watch what happens.

OK, I'm so out of touch. So they were doing EMH every day in the MK? Because of anticipated SWL crowds? Will definitely be interesting to see what they do with the second phase.

Yes they are happening until 11/2. I'm hoping they continue, but I doubt they will. We shall see.

Yeah, over the summer they announced a pretty unprecedented run of daily “Extra” Extra Magic Hours at MK, DAK, and DHS as follows:

MK & DAK
Daily EMH 7am-8am with 8am regular park opening
8/29-11/2

DHS
Daily EMH 6am-9am with 9am regular park opening
9/1-11/2

So the big question now is what, if any of that, continues. So far early AM crowds have been super low, but early Sept plus the storm may be clouding longer term experience, especially as we get deeper into the fall.

Wait. So this sucks. For a local at least who doesn’t need a hotel and goes at rope drop now that “advantage” is gone and there is no point to going early anymore??? My annual pass expires November 9

There are no daily EMHs at Epcot (only the regular once a week AM EMH), so you still have that.

But yes, if you’re a non-EMH eligible guest and want to rope drop in MK, DAK, DHS at regular park opening now through 11/2 (based on the current calendar), the EMH folks will already be in the park.

Since there are 3 EMH a day, and they’re earlier than usual, the crowds have been substantially lower than normal EMH crowds so far. I don’t think it’s likely as bad as you fear.
