What's up with De-theming the Resort Rooms?

Having allergies, I like the cleanliness of the wood/tile floors and the white duvets. I also agree that many of the resorts were long overdue for a renovation. Indeed many were looking quite dated. But, I can't help but think they've missed an opportunity to add that special Disney theming touch. It's what makes the parks great, and it doesn't have to be tacky. A tasteful theme with some pretty colors would make the resorts stand out. They don't stand out much now. I looked recently at the pics of different resorts and I can't remember which one was which. It's all a little too generic and not special enough.
