Hi
I will be going june 27-july9 and was wondering what special things there will be to do ? there will be a 4&2year old.::MickeyMo

Hi there.
We will be there at the same time. What resort are you staying at???? We will be at Saratoga Springs.
I know for the 4th of July, each park (except AK) has its own special fireworks. I believe MGM does Sorcery in the Sky.
I am really torn over which park to do that day, we will be with my family, parents and BILs. Eight total.
I can't decide if we should see the special display at MK or go to MGM to see Sorcery.
Hope you get lots of replies to your query. I could use the info too!

Make sure to go to the America Pavillion at EPCOT. It is special on the 4th of July.

Alert! The Magic Kingdom is reputed to be a madhouse on July 4th (as well as many holidays). Probably too crowded for fun. The fireworks are awesome, and can be seen from around the MK too. You can make a PS at a resort restaurant "with a view" -- like Ohana at the Polynesian, and watch the show from there. We did this two summers ago and it was a real treat.

The DVC resorts will also have activities for the 4th in case you want to avoid the parks that day. OKW had crafts and activities around Hospitality House. July 4th is a busy time, but also fun and bustling and exciting. Have fun!

watch the fireworks from the Polynesian beach! :D you don't need a PS at the restaurants either. Last year when we stayed there, people from the Magic Kingdom came in on the boat launch came just for the fireworks show to avoid the crowds. (the beach was crowded but nowhere nearly as crowded as MK.)

I'm there for the 4th every year. the parks are crazy so i suggest the marketplace or something recreational. best place for fireworks is at one of the MK resorts. we stay at the floridian and it's just amazing. words can not describe it. i'm not too sure if it is still done, but when i was a child the floridian held special kid events. they had swimming with the characters and the kids decorated the luggage carts for a special parade that 4th of july mickey and minnie came to. it was so awesome and one of my all time fave disney memories!
