Alpine Slides at many ski resorts (open in summer only).

wow, i didn't think those were around anymore!! We used to have one at Camelback in the poconos I would go to every year...I have the scars on my arms to prvoe it LOL!!!!!I loved goign on those things!

As far as I know, New England (Vermont for sure) still has alpine slides. When my 3rd child was about 5-6yo he was on a slide with my DH and they took a tumble. My son didn't get hurt much, but my DH got a horrible scrape on his let and was real banged up. Haven't been back since, but knowing us we will sometime.

To add to Ohio:
Cleveland - Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, A WONDERFUL Art Museum, Natural History Museum and The Great Lakes Science Center

Canton - Pro Football Hall of Fame

Toledo - Tony Packo's Restaurant (Made famous by Klinger on M*A*S*H)

The Lake Erie Islands (Put In Bay and Kelley's Island especially) are must see with so much to do, learn and see.

NH still has alpine slides too, at Attitash Bear Peak. In Mass, Jiminy Peak also has alpine slides
