Sorry, I don't know how to do the callbacks to other posts, so:
Someone posted: "I have an issue with eating at a restaurant that is serving frozen entrees that I can buy at the grocery store. There are plenty of other restaurants at WDW that don't do that and have amazing food."
I am pretty sure Tony's does the same thing with the Buitoni frozen stuff. Only it's better when I heat it up at home. Seriously. We've never been back.
I also agree with several OP who had the Italian sub from Catalina Eddie's. It was meat and dressing on a bun, no lettuce/tomato/onion/peppers, then plopped under a heat lamp until it was one solid, dry mass. DH and I thought they were so bad, we swapped the kids for the pizza that was so bad they wouldn't eat it. They had apples instead.
Which makes an annoying segue into my last point. Another poster wrote:
"Everybody puts down the quick service places but they are there to fill a void, they're not going to have the best tasting stuff in the world. When you go into a place that will seat about a million people and all the tables are taken the food is not going to be great, they pump out burgers and pizza by the hundreds to feed the masses in a hurry. It's quick, cheap, and filling."
Here's my peeve. It IS possible to make cheap, quick food that is, in fact, not only edible but actually GOOD. One shining example--Five Guys Burgers and Fries. For around $8 you can get a great burger, drink (with refills!) and enough AWESOME fries to feed a small army. It CAN be done. Disney (and every other theme park I've ever visited) just chooses NOT to do it and kill us on the prices. Because we're a captive audience.
I guess the reason this irks me is that I EXPECT that crap from any old amusement park. I just know Disney can do so much better, but they make the choice NOT to.
