what's the worst thing you've eaten at wdw?

Last year at Via Napoli...so excited to try the food...RAW pizza...gross...a man came over to ask how it was we told him...he did not charge us...just can't seem to give the place another try, even tho we loved the atmosphere..

I'm another vote for the ABC Commissary. I figured a burger would be safe. It was, GRAY and had a texture of institutional food (waaaay too soft) and little to no flavor.

Elmo9607 : My family calls it paper bacon...we swear they print out sheets of it somewhere then just start photocopying them until they have enough for that day!

Wow. We have had different experiences than most of you. We like San Angel and the Luau food for the most part. Maybe we are just used to eating "kid food"? Don't know.

And here is where also differed...we HATED Le Cellier.

After reading so many great things on here about it, we were so excited to go. Other than the pretzel bread thingys it was awful. Our steak was fatty and overcooked, and everything else was soggy.

Even the ambiance was dark and dreary. We couldn't wait to get out of there.

You got me laughing on that one. It's The Celler. :lmao: Of course it should look dark and dreary. But I am sorry your meal wasn't what you hoped for. :)

Le Cellier for me! Although i really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant, and the staff was great, i hated my meal! It was a couple years ago, for lunch, in either December or January (when we always go!). I got some sort of steak (i know..its a steakhouse!, i just can't recall which one!), and the cheddar cheese soup as an app. The steak was SO salty, i couldn't even eat it. We asked the waitress for a new one, she very kindly had the chef taste it, and agreed it was way too salty. She brought back a new one a couple minutes later, but it was STILL too salty, and terrible. At this point i was done, and just didn't eat it. Other than that, we usually have great dining experiences at WDW!

Most of the prepared food I've ever eaten at Sunshine Seasons is pretty terrible. It's either over cooked or not hot enough or just plain yucky...

It's a convenient place to grab a quick bite, but the cooked food is awful; snacks are ok.

I had some particularly bad chicken nuggets at that place in EPCOT across from Mouse Gears. It's hard to choose between that and the rack of shoe leather from Flame Tree.

On the other hand, I'm one who liked the Watermelon Rind salad.

Generally, most of the places where I've had bad food I pretty much expected it would be bad. I know better than to eat a CS french fry.

The only compliant I had with any of the food was the burger buns. They were some sort of dry dry dry crumbly whole grain bun. It was terrible. And they were everywhere. Everything on a bun was on that cardboardy awful thing they were calling a bun. I hope they've changed them by January.

Every single thing we had at Nine Dragons last week. I've NEVER had a worse meal at Disney and we all left hungry. The fried rice was horrible, even the egg rolls were inedible-I didn't think such a thing was possible! The chicken they use is dark, curled, dry and really not identifiable as chicken at all. The noodles had NO flavor and everything was just awful. Worse meal--hands down--we've ever had at Disney, and we've eaten everywhere!

Something I ate on the chef Mickeys Buffett last night. I was sick all last night and still don't feel to good today.

I was silly enough to get a veggie burger at Beaches and Cream and it was most likely one of those Dr. Praeger veggie burgers out of the box that they sell at Costco that I hate. I don't know why, but i thought that Disney would either make their own veggie burgers or purchase from a quality vendor. I certainly did not expect the terrible veggie burgers that I actually had given away after trying (I'd bought that huge box at costco, ate one, hated it and gave them away to a friend).

We didn't like our food from the Yak & Yeti CS place in AK so much that I'm afraid to try the TS Yak & Yeti place and we were disappointed with our meals at Restaurant Marrakesh in Epcot (and I'd really wanted to like that place). The ABC Commissary USED to be good (like 4 or 5 years ago) but now it's horrid. Hoping for better choices / luck next trip.

The lamb chop at Food & Wine... I'm just not a fan of those :( I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth for the rest of the day. Yuck!

Lunch at Garden Grill a few years ago. We'd eaten there before and had enjoyed it, but this time the turkey was undercooked, the beef was all gristle and the potatoes were an inedible mush. The character interaction was fun for my DS, but the meal was just gross.

... the shrimp and scallop dinner at Kona was horrible. 2 of us got it. It was obviously under a heat lamp (cause it came out 2 minutes after our order along with a dried out rubber steak). I was afraid to eat all 3 scallops because they were cold and mostly raw. The sauce that was on them was disqustingly bitter. The shrimp were cold rubber. The rice was not sticky rice. It was luke warm overcooked gummy starch.

Kona was probably our worst overall meal. My husband got this same entree and made the same comments. I got the coconut-almond crusted chicken, and it was just soggy and tasteless. The only good thing we got was the sticky wings appetizer, but it was REALLY good.

I've gotten some other things that just weren't to my personal taste, a few of them mentioned in this thread - cream cheese pretzel, rice and ribs at the luau, etc. But Kona was the only one where our meals really seemed bad due to bad preparation and not just individual preference.

It's a tie between the hamburger at Beaches & Cream and the bourbon marinated steak at Captain's Grill.

Our entire meal at Boma!

Now, this one surprises me. You went to a buffet, selected what you put on your plate, didn't care for anything, went back to the buffet, tried different things, and didn't care for those either. Perhaps you went several times to the buffet but couldn't find anything you cared for. And even more surprising, is that the others in your party had the same experience. Nothing on the salads, entrees, desserts, childrens bar, the entire buffet pleased you. It was the worst thing you've eaten at WDW. It couldn't have been the service, since at a buffet you were going and getting food whenever you wanted. I'm sorry you had such a lousy meal. I really am sorry.
