What's the worst restaurant in WDW?

My favorites restaurants include 50's, Whispering Canyon, Le Cellier, Teppanyaki, Big River Brewery, Tony's, Pecos Bills, Cosmic Rays, Coral Reef, Rainforest Cafe, Earl of Sandwich, Beaches and Cream. Some of these are food favorites and some I really enjoy the atmosphere.

Those that I don't plan to return to are San Angel Inn, poor service and food was not really good, very poor value; Alfredos, food was ok at best, again not a real good value; yakitori house, didn't care for the food.

i've not had a horrible meal, but I've had some that I wished I'd gone elsewhere..

Garden Grill in Epcot.
My Son was looking forward to eating fried Catfish
but we got catfish that tasted like chicken fried steak--Gross!!!
I haven't figure out how they could make the catfish have
absolutly no catfish taste what so ever.
the rest was overcooked vegetables, worst than Cafeteria food.
So we ate bread for our lunch--Expensive Bread!!!
Please save your Money, I beg you!!!

And I must say again-it was great when we went! I'm a Mississippi girl, so I know catfish! Ours was delicious. I'm not a big veggie lover, but loved these. The salad was delicious too. Loved the steak. The turkey was just ok. The kids loved the chicken and mac and cheese. This was the only place the kids asked to repeat for our next trip!

I found the food at Cinderella's Royal Table to be the worst of the trip last year. Of course our daughter had a blast, so we'll probably endure it once again this time around.

I totally agree with this. We have eaten there several times and it just gets worse each trip. Last year the food was inedible. We barely ate a thing and what we did eat gave us severe gastric distress. Our server was great though and of course its the castle so we will also endure a return trip.. breakfast this time though.
We also did not care for Coral Reef. I know people have had great experiences here but once again.. . Dont get me wrong .. the place is very pretty and DD loved the fish but the food was bad. Our server was bad. On an up note we now know where EVERY bathroom is in Epcot.
To its defense we did eat there during free dining and it was just ugly. I would consider another trip back.in several years

I'm from LOUISIANA and Know CATFISH,
We're used of eating true Southern Fried Catfish with cornmeal batter (very light in texture) and this Catfish has the batter of Chicken Fried Steak, It even tasted like chicken
beats me how they could do that??? If I wanted Chicken Fried Steak I would have ordered it.:sad2:

Sounds like the chef didn't know what he was doing the day you were there! Or maybe I was there on a good night and had a good southern cook!

Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station...yuck!

 We also have had bad experiences with a large bird that someone was feeding INSIDE Peco's Bills and an even larger bird (probably waist high) that someone was feeding in the eating area for Flame Tree Barbecue. I love birds, but not when they are standing on the ground looking me in the eye and begging for food. Yikes!!! But that is probably another issue all together. It will however definitely keep me from returning to Flame Tree Barbecue even though the food was okay.

These used to be favorites, but the past few years are DISGUSTING:

Chef Mickey
Tony's Town Square Cafe
Cape May Cafe

OK, there's a thread here for the best restaurant, which is great (I've been monitoring for future planning purposes) but where would you never go again? That one restaurant that the food just made you go "Eeewwww"? :crazy2: :faint: I'm betting there'll be a few world showcase restaurants here due to lack of familiarity with ethnic dishes  , and that's ok... anything goes! Just remember that one person's lemon is another's lemonade. Everyone has different tastes so if you see your fave here, it's not personal, it's just dining. :surfweb:

California Grill gets our vote for the WORST place to eat at Disney. Our party of 5 all had different appetisers which no one liked and then we all tried different entrees. I think only my father in law liked his meal mine went back 3 times before it was even remotley close to being eddible for me. The total for our party of 5 without alcohol was 570.00 US with alcohol it was over 650 dollars for a very very sub par meal. That is one place we will not go to again. Our second choice but not far behind Cali grill was CRT it was terrible teh food was tasteless and the place was just not that great our kids much prefered going to eat at Norway and seeing the princesses there.

The Garden Grill. We just don't like the "all on one plate" family style meals there.

I just have to say, we did not like San Angel Inn or Boma's.

The food at San Angel Inn was cold, like it had been sitting for awhile, not to mention the service there was horrible.

As for Boma's, not our cup of tea, IMHO, it was bland.

Oh, I totally forgot to mention Maya Grill. The food was decent enough, but I will never go back there. Once was enough. Maybe if we had had good waitstaff, but we were basically ignored after we were given our appetizers. That is an abomination to me. We also had extremely poor service at California Grill, but it was a busy time, and we loved the food so we will go back there.

We went to the buffet at the Yacht and Beach Club and were made to feel like the "poor" relations. Is it the Cape May? Anyway, we were staying at POR and these people stuck us at a table next to the kitchen and we had to just about fire a cannon off to get them to come over to our table to give us a drink refill or take the used plates away. I would never go there again.

Got fantastic service at Chef Mickey's though, and we didn't have any kids with us either!!!!

My family didn't like Spoodles. Its not that the food was bad, its more so that we didnt like the cusine being served. I also don't like Rainforest Cafe. Not very good anywhere in my opinion.

Our Favorites are California Grill, Chef Mickey's and 50s Prime Time

Last time my DH and I were in WDW we ate at Mama Melrose and while it was OK, I never need to eat there again. I also remember a less than tasty meal at a place in Animal Kingdom where we had breakfast early one morning before doing the safari. I dont remember what it was called but I wouldnt go back there again either.

My worse choice for a restaurant would have to be Alfredo's in Epcot. I'm glad they're closing and making way for a new restaurant. DBF and I ate there 2 years ago and both thought it was horrible. The service was bad as well.

The two meals we didn't enjoy were:
lunch at Akershus - the food wasn't bad, but we found out we really aren't fans of cold fish and other Norwegian dishes.
dinner at Marrakesh - this one had nothing to do with the "ethnic" food. It had more to do with the fact that the dishes we tried were tasteless and the meat was fatty and overcooked.

Liberty Tree Tavern!

I dont think anyone mentioned this but I feel its horrible. I answered this same question in the past with this same answer....when we went it was sponsored by Stouffers....no kidding!

Awful. Absolutley awful.

Lotus Blossom Cafe in Epcot--terrible!
Coral Reef--very disappointing
Hollywood and Vine--Bought the Fantasmic package. Food was bad and the projector on our side of the theatre went out 5 minutes in Fastasmic. Bad, bad night.
