What's the worse bill you pay?

Each month scared to open it.
Begged Dh to pay cash or check but he thinks cc is 'safer'. Except for the overspending!
Studies have shown that even when prople are spending fake money they spend more with fake cc than with fake check than with fake cash.
This month he finally promised to charge nothing but his gas- otherwise we are cancelling DishTV.

Well, all bills are bad so let's go with the largest...the mortgage!

I hate paying our gas bill in the winter. When that comes in the mail I dread opening it. In a related bill, I hate opening the electric bill in the summer with having the AC on. I don't mind these 2 bills in the months of October, April, and May so at least I get a break for 3 months!

I hate using cc's. But I have to agree with your DH. Sometimes, using a CC is safer. I used my bank debit card to pay off my DIsney trip. This card is linked directly to my "fun money" checking account. (as opposed to my real one). Anyway, I only had enough in the "fun" account to cover the payoff amount plus about an extra $100. I was double charged causing my account to overdraft and it was a mess and it took over a week to get sorted out.

I think from now on, all big purchases will be made with CCs.

My mortgage and since that's not changing in the next 28 years I better get used to it.

Kitty, you have electric heat. Yep, that must be a dreaded bill!

Hi Herc

No, we don't have electric heat.....it's just our gas heat and electric bill come together from Consumer's. It can be pretty high in the winter!!!:p

Pop Daddy our cable bill with Comcast is $170/mo which includes internet, yours couldn't be more than that is it?

Bills that come in for our Insurances. I think if I didn't pay for all the insurance bills every year we would have a whole lot more $$ left over every year....$17,000 a year to be exact. Insurance is our biggest bill combined. DH being self employed is one reason, then their is DS's auto/new driver. Health is $800/mo etc....

Wow! That is a lot for Comcast. We have Millenium here but Comcast is the exact same price. We pay $90 for cable modem, digital cable, 4 cable boxes and 800 channels. We also just got an additional 100 digital channels.

It's a real toss up between property tax and the car payment, but I guess if I have to say one only, I'll go with the car payment since at least the house and property are appreciating and the car, well......y'know the saying about how as soon as you drive it off the lot....

Rent! For those of you thinking on living in L.A. one day, my rent could be more than your mortage.
