What's the weirdest thing you have intentionally eaten?

We had an appetizer platter that included rattlesnake and deep fried cactus when we were at the Cowboy Club in Sedona, AZ. Cactus was okay (it was deep fried, afterall!) but I did not care for the texture of the rattlesnake. BTW, had buffalo steaks for our entree and loved them. In fact, I made burgers out of ground buffalo for lunch today.

Okay. The short answer is rattlesnake.

weirdest has to be rattlesnake chili with fried cactus on the side,,, that said,, i have eaten possum, coon, deer, rabbit, squirrel, aligator, turtle, buffalo, ostrich, escargot, emu, chocolate covered bugs, frog legs, but i really didnt think anyof them were weird, just different dishes in different places. oh yeah,, armadillo, i left off armadillo

Well, you make head cheese by boiling a hogs head. After the head is boiled you put the stuff in a bread loaf and let it congeal in the refridgerator. It is ready to slice and eat with hot sauce in about three hours.

Tofu is made out of soybeans - I don't like it.:wave2:

Either pig foot when I was in Italy (part of Christmas tradition there) or buffalo meat which we were told about only AFTER we ate it as burgers at a picnic.

Frog Legs and game soup. Both were in a French Restaurant in France. The Frog legs were okay.. really did taste like chicken, but YUCK! LOL The Game Soup (a broth) was good... just like Beef Broth.

Probably whatever the chef could get his hands on  . With the exception of seafood I was a vegetarian on our trip. Much safer that way.
