What's the weather like in the beginning of December?

DH mentioned next time we go would probably be in the beginning of December (for HIS birthday ) which is, of course, fine with me! Never having been that time of year I have no idea what to to expect wetaher wise. Is it still warm enough to swim? Are the water parks still open? Is it chilly at night? Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated. We are at a point in our love for Disney that we are spreading our wings and trying new things. We just came back from our first OCT trip and MNSSHP so we figured going when Christmas decorations are up and seeing MVMCP, CP and such would be next on the list!

water parks , 1 is usually closed , 1 open.
my kids went swimming in the pools. sometimes you get a cold snap. usually we wore shorts/tees during the day, needed sweatshirt or a light jacket at night( especially if you were taking any of the boats for transportation) on occasion we have needed jeans for day or 2 so i would take at least one warmer outfit..jan has been colder and we have worn our winter coats once in jan but never needed them in early dec.

I have been there from Dec 12-16 before and then last year we left on Nov 30. The trip in mid-Dec was during a cold snap. You were fine during the day in short sleeves and shorts but it did get cold in the shade. At night I wore a sweatshirt and jeans. However, my dd, then 10, never took her jeans off!!
When we were there last year for the week after Thanksgiving, the weather was incredible! In the high 70's during the day, sometimes low 80's. At night you would be fine with a long sleeved shirt and shorts.
We swam last year but not the year before. In '03 when we were there mid-Dec, the CM's were actually wearing scarves/mittens. I was wearing my windbreaker on the last day.

i know that last year it was blizzard beach that was closed and according to WDW website it will be closed again first this year.

Yes BB is down at the moment and will be until Dec 25, when TL will go down for rehab.
