What's the typical cycle for food sales?

If boneless/skinless chicken is on sale at a store for $1.99/lb (what I consider a really good price), about when will it go on sale again? 4 weeks? 6 weeks? I wonder how much I should buy when these sales happen.

At my store Chicken is on sale most of the time. I use mostly chicken and fish and only buy chicken when it's on sale for $1.99 lb.
