Our family ( my wife and eight year old son ) are heading back to Disney world in NOVEMBER. We are getting are list together of the three best places we think we should go for a Dining/Entertainment type of event. We have two, but are confused because there doesn't seem to be a standout for the "third". Anyone have any recommendations for a third, or maybe we will just leave it at two. We wanted something, exciting, fun, but the food must be at least somewhat good! All help is appreciated. Here are our first and second choices. Please fill in the blank for the third ( and why!)

1) BIERGARTEN ( Epcot)

2)Hoop-dee-doo musical revue

I really like 50's Prime Time Cafe in MGM. Food is basic and very good and the atmosphere is lots of fun. Most of the servers really get into their role and treat you like a member of the family....for example, we had Aunt Claire during our last trip when we were honeymooning and she gave us a hard time about not inviting her to the wedding etc. It was fun and I think your 8 year old would get a kick out of it....

IF you haven't done Chef Mickeys...at the Contemporary.....that is a good one. We are trying the Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness....you can go to the campfire and movie afterwards too.

Morocco. Time it to see the belly dancer. She even tries to get guests out on the floor with her.
I think she dances every hour. Someone can probably tell you the normal times.
If Garden Grill is open, that is neat as it has a revolving floor, good food and characters.

Boma, Ohana, or Garden Grill. All 3 have delicious food. I'm not sure if your son is still into character meals or if he has outgrown them, but Garden Grill is great. Boma has some of the best and most interesting food at WDW. Ohana has great food too in a fun atmosphere. Have fun deciding!

ooo biergarten, great choice. i'd suggest either teppenyaki in japan (where they cook right in front of you hibatch-style) or garden grill

How about Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL? Fun antics and a chance to tour the Lodge.

Eight year old will enjoy food & fun at Chef Mickeys and Whispering Canyon. Food is good at both.

Loved Teppenyaki (Japan) and Boma (AKL)! Yummy food at both places....high quality! Also had a delicious lunch at Le Cellier(Canada).

How about San Angel Inn, where your DS can ride the boat ride while waiting for his food (or right after or before dinner). You're not going to eat in a restaurant back home that has a volcano and a midnight sky!

Or maybe Coral Reef, sit near the tank and watch the fish!

Just a thought - but I also have a 8 yo DS, and he enjoys doing something "by himself". Like a kids Club - while Mom and Dad have dinner. One year he went to the club at AKL and we ate at Boma - actually had drinks and a nice relaxing 2 hour dinner!!!! Last year he went on a Pirate Cruise out of the GF and DH and I had breakfast over at the Poly.

Otherwise he really enjoyed the Character dining at the Land, Whispering Canyon at the WL, my DS also enoyed the Character dining at the Liberty Tree Tavern.

Last summer my DH, my DS, and nephew (10) were staying at the BWV. They all loved ESPN.

House of Blues for dinner & a show...or House of Blues for dinner, then Cirque du Soleil afterward.

Our family loved Ohana. The food was great. The CM's were great. My kids still talk about the coconut races. We decided to make this restaurant a "must do" every trip! :)
