What's the parking situation like at DTD?

Just how crazy is the parking lot at DTD? I've heard stories about how jam packed it can be.

We have reservations at the T-Rex cafe for noon on the Thursday our cruise is over (10/22). We're currently planning on checking into POP before we dine there - if the parking's not bad, we'll forgo the shuttle and drive on over. But if it's bad, well revise our plans.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Personally, the one place I would always drive would be to DTD since the busses there are the worst. I have only seen it crazy busy (parking lots full) on weekends. You can park by the world of Disney or over in the lot by Pleasure Island and be right near T-Rex.

Nights and weekends usually find the Downtown Disney lots full of cars. There is a pretty good turnover so driving around will allow you to find a parking spot in time.

You should have no trouble finding a spot on a Thursday afternoon.

The parking lot behind Cirque and House of Blues is a large lot and almost always have spots available.

It shouldn't be too bad at noontime. Late afternoon it gets crazy in there though. And night-time is nasty to find a spot...I get lost in there all the time.
I would opt for driving from POP. It's really close and so much quicker if you drive yourself vs taking the bus.

I totally agree. The lots can seem full, but there are always cars coming and going and I have never not found a spot to park.

I also totally agree with the bus situation at DTD. It is horrible and late in the evening it is the worst. No line ropes makes it impossible to stop the mad rush to the bus.......

Thanks so much for all of your responses! This will be the first time we will have our car with us, so I'm very appreciative of your advice. We will stick with our original plan of driving over. I can't wait to see the T-Rex Cafe!

Park on the end closer to Pleasure Island, there are usually more spaces open there. That would be close to T-Rex.

At that time you should have not trouble finding spot. I would enter the parking lot for the Marketplace and go to the left. (I think it's Lot 1) T-Rex is close to World of Disney and next to Lego.

We have been there on Saturday night on both ends of President's week and were always able to find a spot - it was crazy busy (like almost impossible to walk through the crowds......), but there was still parking. You should have no trouble.
