What's the one attraction you keep missing?

I just read the refurbishment schedule for WDW and lo and behold Honey I shrunk the Kids Play Adventure in MGM Studios will be closed during our June trip.:(

This is the one attraction that we have tried to visit but to no avail. The first time it was closed because of capacity the next trip it closed early now it will be closed for rehab.

Im afraid my boys will be too big for it when we go back next year and will never have tried it.

We also missed out on ExtraTerror in MK.

My new touring plan will be to make sure we do some of the older attractions instead of always running to the new ones first, as the older ones may not be there next time.

We did get to see COP before it went to seasonal, so I am thankful for that!

Unbelievably, Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King. That will be taken care of in July!!!

there are lots of rides i haven't gone on, only in mk though...off the top of my head:

astro orbiter
magic carpet rides
riverboat

i've never even been in toontown! although with ds being 2 we'll have to go this june

i've also never seen the parades in ak or mgm.

splash mountian- first time the line was over an hour long and we choose to "come back later"

second time I was pregnant. and the third time it was closed. maybe next time.

One attraction we kept trying to see & haven't is Tarzan Rocks. Everytime we had an Animal Kingdom day scheduled it would rain, most of the day & the Tarzan Rocks show was canceled!!!
I am really hoping we can see it with this coming trip.

Splash Mountain
Kali River Rapids
Astro Orbiter
Aladdin's Magic Carpets
Riverboat
Tom Sawyer's Island

This year I finally got to check a few off my list. Astro Orbiter, Done! Tom Sawyers Island, Done! And not really an attraction, but something I wanted to do, and it took me 3 years to do it... Eat a beaver tail. DONE! and Yummy! Two years ago the stand was closed, and last year we had just finished a kitchen sink so there was no way we could even think about one.

Now whats left? The only thing I have not done (that I can think of) is Kali River Rapids, And this year I was doing it even if it was going to be freezing (we go in Jan/Feb) Well wouldn't you know it the weather was great and... "down for rehab" so that stays on my To Do List... And Cirque that's about it. We've been luck enough to do just about everything else. Listed attraction and otherwise (jr chef program, copilot monorail, campfire/singalong etc...) every year(we've been lucky enough to go for the last 3 years) we build a to do list (From these boards of course!) We always find new fun stuff to do, but it's getting harder and harder to make a list of New must do items.

We had a list this time, and I really don't think we did a good job of meeting any of them! Things we haven't done that I really want to:

Tom Sawyer's Island
Fantasmic
CoP
Mission Space (I chickened out)

Firsts for this last trip:

Illuminations Cruise
Dinosaur
Journey Into Your Imagination
Test Track

My parents went with us for their first trip, and they managed to do more on my list without trying that I got done.

Tom Sawyers Island and the Riverboats. There are just never enough hours in a disney day.:(

There are some I keep missing because I'm just not interested in them, but there are a couple that I want to do that I just never seem to get around to----

Backlot Tour (has been closed MY LAST THREE TRIPS:confused: )

Dinosaur (usually because we go to AK for just a few hours)

Hall of Presidents (can't put the kiddos thru that one)

American Adventure (next time for sure)

Tower of Terror (kids too little; DW just never have done baby swap because we want to ride it together)

I never get to see the "Listen to the Land"? boat trip at Epcot. The lines are always too long and every time the FP window is too far away to backtrack our large, slow group. Have not seen China's film in ages either because no one wants to stand since we are already bushed by the time we get there. (But the all time record was four different trips to DL and trying to get on Rocket Rods, it was ALWAYS broken.)

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one missing Tom Sawyer's Island. Everytime we go it is not in operation! Ugh! Well, there is always our December trip! :p

COP and Timekeeper are always closed when we go but I am hoping to catch COP this trip. We also have never visited Tom Sawyer's Island or ridden the Liberty Belle. And we keep missing Kali River Rapids(not enough hours in the day at AK).- Other things we haven't done because we are chickens or youngest DD is too small:
Space Mountain
TOT
RNRC
Mission: Space
Oh yeah, we somehow keep missing the Great Movie Ride:confused:

I can never seem to catch Splash Mountain. Last June we Fastpassed BTM, left the park for a bit and got back just in time to get on BTM. It went from warm and sunny when we got in the FP line to pouring rain by the time the coaster took us outside. THEN the ride BROKE DOWN and we all had to walk through the inside of the mountain (the kids were THRILLED!) to get back out. The plan was to ride BTM using the FP, then hop in line for Splash Mountain. Of course the usually quick downpour didn't let up for almost 45 minutes, so SM was out of the question.

To top it all off, we usually carry small bags with snacks, ponchos and water, but left them at the condo that afternoon because we had not experienced any of the frequent showers we'd heard so much about. So there we were, in the rain, without our ponchos, not fully through BTM (so I guess technically I can add that to the list too), and we never got back to Splash Mountain.

So in my longwinded way, I'm saying this year, it Splash Mountain or BUST!!!(and we have to finish BTM, too):earsgirl:

For me:

MK: Done 'em all.

Epcot: Done 'em all.*

MGM: "Millionaire".

AKL: "...Spin", "Kali River", walking trails.

* = MS was still under wraps our last time there.

Fantasmic, and it's driving us nuts.

This year we are making it a priority.

Keep meaning to get to "Universe of Energy", but haven't. And the 3 on my "must do for the first time" next trip are Kali River Rapids, ITTBAB, and TT. Never done MS and don't intend to.

Well, then you might want to plan your trip sooner rather than later. Quiet rumors are circulating that Fantasmic may go into rehab this fall. :)

never got to see the Main Street Electrical parade, despite two trips while it was at MK - the first time was in the off-season, and we weren't there on a Saturday night, and the second time was in May, 2000, but they had a special event parade for the Millenium Dreamers only. I keep hoping they'll bring it back.
