Spend on concert tickets.

Tried most of the day to get hands on take that tickets, I just eventually got the site :scared1::scared1: £162 for two tickets. Not prepared to pay that

I suppose it all depends on how much you want to see them. I think ticket prices started at £55 +5 booking for the cheapest, so Im guessing your prices were seating tickets, at £162 for 2. I think that is still reasonable as they are selling now on Ebay for about £400 for two standing tickets.

Its not the sort of prices I would pay for Take That as Im not a big fan, however if it was a band that I loved, yes I would have paid £162 for 2 tickets.:goodvibes

I have given up paying the crazy prices charged for these big name concerts. I paid £95 for tickets to see The Eagles at Hampden and ended up so far away that the only way we could see the band was to watch the big screen or use binoculars:mad:.
Might as well have stayed home and watched a DVD.(is there a grumpy old woman icon;))

It depends on the band and how much I liked them, we spent £500 on two tickets to see Aerosmith and then flights and hotel for two nights at Paris and it was worth every penny to me. It was one of the best nights of my life. I would pay that to see a couple of other bands too. I wouldn't pay that much to see Take That though, however I have no interest in seeing them.

DH has just bought a Roger Waters ticket from his friend for DS in May.

They both love Pink Floyd and my son phoned from uni to see if DH wanted to go and see them in London ( he's at Kingston Uni). Unfortunately, they were sold out so DH asked our son if he fancied going on his own which he jumped at..........£85 :scared1: Well that's his Xmas present sorted.

Luckily I was going for Standing which was cheapest at £55 + £5 and THANK GOD I managed to get mine at about 9.03am this morning! I've been engrossed in the hell people have gone through though :scared1: Can't believe people are STILL trying to get tickets!

Similar to Sue's view, for me with Take That I'd have been trying for tickets regardless of price! Granted ticket prices in general ARE ridiculous these days but for a band I love I'm willing to pay it, plus really because I was getting standing it's only a £5 (well £10 if you include booking fee) increase on the last tour. Plus I've seen enough Take That shows live to know I'll at least get my money's worth :D

I would say as well with Take That I normally go more than once a tour but this time I've been sensible!

I paid £185.99 for 3, that was including booking fees etc.
I've also just bought 2 Bon Jovi ones for £175.... But I LOVE bon jovi.
Suppose it depends on how much you like the band?

I just paid £140 for 2 seated Take That tickets. I actually wanted to get the ones that would have cost £190 but by the time I got through at 12:30 those ones had gone. If you get top price seats at West End musicals you are paying the same amount of money. I have seen Robbie many times and really wanted to see this show so I was willing to pay anything really.

That was for standing, that's all I could bring up on website

What website? Don't think that would have been right for standing. The list of official ticket sellers is here :goodvibes

See I think that's why this one was soooo chaotic! I've never seen ticket chaos like it! Because you have original TT fans (like myself), Robbie fans (like my pal I'm going with who's never shown me any interest in TT before) and then newer fans of the four-piece!

But like you for this I'd be willing to pay anything!

I eventually get through for tickets at about 3pm after trying all day. I used SeeTickets still awaiting my confirmation email though. I got standing at 55each for City of Manchester Stadium.

So excited but im still apprehensive until I receive my email.

Are you trying for Wembley? If so they have just announced another date, sat 9th July. Try again now! :wizard:

They've just announced that a record breaking 1 million tickets have been sold so far today & they just announced more dates!

I got my tickets from Seetickets at 10.30 this morning & like you I was stressing about it until I finally got my confirmation email late this afternoon. :thumbsup2 I am sure you will get yours soon.

I wouldn't worry too much yet, Jackie! According to SeeTickets Twitter they're saying confirmation emails will be received in 8 hours, rather than the original 4!! I've been stalking the TT boards today and people who ordered around lunchtime seem to just be receiving theirs now!

Was I the only one who totally didn't like the way SeeTickets don't even give you a confirmation number on the order complete page?! What's that all about! You have no proof whatsoever you got tickets! I've had problems with them before and they weren't my preferred choice to order (they were actually 3rd back up, lol) but between 1 PC and 2 laptops they loaded the fastest!

I didnt want tickets for myself, not that I dont like them, I do, but Ive seen them before, albeit without Robbie, and to be honest I know most of you will kill me for this, but Im not a Robbie fan one bit, sorry:scared1:

However I was trying nearly all day to get tickets for my boss who wanted six and was out of the office, I had seetickets, ents24 and ticketmaster all open and refreshing at the same time, and it was ticketmaster that came good first for me after about 5 hours of trying. I could only get get her reserved seating at Cardiff and the total was £438 for the six, have to say though it was the most stressful thing I have done seeing as Im not going myself:goodvibes

Not at all, I was worried about the lack of conf number. I waited several hours for my email all the time sitting here thinking it better have accepted my order! :scared1: Especially as I was buying for my sister & BIL too & told them i'd got them.

I had 3 laptops & 2 phones on the go, but I was lucky enough to get mine after about 90 mins. :thumbsup2

Sue, I agree, I also found it extreamly stressful:rotfl:....me and a friend started trying at 9am....her husband was on his PC, she was on the laptop and I was on the phone:lmao:.......finally got tickets at 3.30pm:scared1:

......it was hard work, but very happy now:cool1:

DH and I had 2 laptops and 2 PC's on the go along with 2 iphones. I was greatful that I got my tickets. I still have a laptop and a phone on the go for a friend who started at the same time as me (she wanted a different venu) and still hasn't got tickets!! This is 11 hours of trying now for her!!

I'm still trying to get tickets now!

I've not rec'd my Ticketmaster confirmation yet either. But the tickets are sat in our Ticketmaster account and my CC is showing a 'pending' transaction for our two tickets.

My brother believes they will have turned off the e-mail function on many of them to allow for more bandwidth for people actually buying them.
