What's the most romantic thing you've ever experienced?

I never thought this was romantic but my girlfriend at the time did.

I got a call at home from her in a panic that she had lost a ring her grandmother had given her.
I quickly drove over to come to her aide. We looked and looked but could not find it. Now it is getting into the wee hours of the morning.

Finally we decide to retrace her steps. I am literally on my hands and knees scouring the floor for this ring.

Low and behold we did find it, and I had to retrieve it from the commode. (The water was CLEAN!)
It fell off the counter when she was taking her hair stuff out.

As I said I didn’t think it was romantic but she did

My husband is definitely not romantic, but sometimes he has surprised me. The most romantic thing that ever happened to me was this:

DH was in the Navy when we were first married. In fact, he left for a 6 month cruise on the day of our 1st anniversary, Sept. 16. I had gone back home to stay with my family for the duration. It was a long, lonely period, but I was doing well even though we could only keep in touch via letters (that took forever to get to each other) and the very occasional phone call when he would reach a port.

Well, December rolled around, he had been gone 3 months. Dec. 12th was our "engagement anniversary," so I was missing him a bit more that day. Also, it was a rainy, cold, miserable day. I was pretty blue. Then at like 7:30 pm, there was a knock at the door. It was the florist delivering 1 dozen pink roses from my husband. Enclosed was a card that said "I could never forget this day." I was blown away! It really cheered me up and touched my heart.

It's 15 years later now, and I still remember how sweet that was. It's the most romantic thing he's ever done.

One night my SO and I were having a conversation about Valentine's Day (which I hate, but that's a whole other issue). I was saying I don't like roses and I don't like guys who send them just because they think they're "supposed to". He asked me what kind of flowers I did like, and I told him to guess. He thought for a minute and then said, "Okay." That was the end of the conversation.

A month later, on the 6 month anniversary of the day we met, I got a bouquet of white daisies...my favorite flower in the world. He's the first, last and only guy who ever got it right.
