My DH and I are leaving the kids behind this coming October and heading to the Beach Club for a long weekend. I CAN'T WAIT!!! We are going at this time primarily for the Food and Wine fest but I am I am looking for any romantic things to do on a grown up trip. It can be anything from a fancy dinner for two to a romantic stroll around your favorite resort. I'm all ears!!!:thumbsup2

Here's a short list of what my wife and I have done without kids!

* Our Honeymoon (just in general!)

* Dinner at Cinderella's Castle

* Walking the boardwalk

* Visiting other resorts to walk around, try different resturants. (Take the monorail to the Grand Floridian, etc)

* LATE night swimming (not sure if it's legal or not, but hitting the pool when no one else is around!)

* Walking downtown Disney... grabbing dinner at bongos.

(I guess a lot of our memories include food! :) )

We love to do afternoon tea at the Floridian, then take a walk on the beach :lovestruc

In the late evening we have ridden the boat from Port Orleans to DTD .. most of the time the boat is empty, and we imagine that we are in our own private gondola. Summer nights are best but winter is fun too .. snuggle up close to keep warm

Take a stroll on the beach at the Poly at sunset. Then cuddle up in a hammock and enjoy a drink while watching Wishes.

At the Beach Club, the hot tubs are nestled up inside some rocks. Its a nice spot for an innocent cuddle anytime.

As for me, the most romantic thing I've done is propose in front of Cinderella Castle, it just doesn't get more magical.

Can you telll me more about the tea? I thought this was more of a mother/daughter kind of thing but it sounds fun and I love the GF!!!

I surprised my wife with a fireworks cruise on Breathless 11 years ago and she still says it was the most memorable thing we've done at WDW.

The boat was at the Boardwalk pier(prearranged) and I asked her if she would come with me while I got a picture.

While she thought I was talking to the captain about the boat, I confirmed that we were the passengers for the night and motioned for her join us for a photo. I told her it was okay to get in the aft seating area and when I joined her, the captain cast off and I told her it was ours for the night.

We're going back next month for the first time in 4 years and are looking for something to top Breathless.

The best was a carriage ride at dusk at Port Orleans Riverside with just DW and I and a cold bottle of champagne. Priceless!

We went to WDW on our honeymoon and every night after we came back to POR we would change into our swimsuits and hop in the pool. I found the pool to be great fun at night and it was mostly empty. Our last night there before we left for the cruise, we just laid out on the deck under the stars and talked.

Sitting on a bench swing at Poly at night.

Wishes Dessert Buffet viewing party.

Re-enacting the spaghetti and meatballs scene at Tony's. :-)

Typhoon lagoon - Dh and I always love the lazy river, we hook our leg together and float along and love to lay in the lawn chairs and talk the later in the day the crowd really thins out.

Magic Kingdom - We always eat dinner one night at Crystal Palace and after we sit on one of the bench right out side to watch wishes, so far we are the only people sitting up near the building, its like watching it all alone.

Board Walk - Very Late dinner at Flying Fish, bottle of wine at dinner very leisurely meal and a walk on the board walk after, we like to go in the candy shop next store and get something.

Contemporary - Cali Grill sitting at the window watching fireworks. Timing is everything here.

Epcot - there are so many spots that are romantic, The fountain in front of Chefs, Japan gardens, Norway near the chapel, my favorite to watch the fire works to the right side of the Rose and Crown there is a sitting area for the CS not usually crowded, great spot.

We love to take our own adult beverages to the quite pool careful disguised. We have several times been the only people in the pool after the park close.

DH and I love Food and wine too.
Enjoy

Take a private carriage ride at fort wilderness down to the beach and watch the fireworks over at magic kingdom. thats what we did when we got engaged.

Our Honeymoon at Wilderness Lodge

Dinner at Victoria and Alberts

Watching the electrical parade from the beach at Wilderness Lodge

This past January, on a crisp, cool evening and right at sunset, we purchased a glass of Champagne at France and strolled leisurely to Le Cellier for a fantastic dinner. The park was practically empty!

Other romantic dinners, @ Cali Grill right when the fireworks are going off, Bistro de Paris....

we just got back from disney last saturday and on our second day there, i returned from a long day at the parks to a mickey and minnie true romance package. there were rose petals leading from the door to the bed where they had made a heart out of rose petals. there were a dozen roses in a vase on the night stand. there was a spa pack for 2 and a signed pic of mickey and minnie. tinker bell was glowing from the curtains and there were electric candles around the room. he also added on a bottle of champagne and some mickey champagne glasses. it was wonderful!! i know that he got it from the disney florist and then they come set it up in your room. i would highly recommend it

One yr ago for our 22nd wedding anniversary we first dined at CRT where we received 2 champagned flutes with CRT etched in them and then we went on a carriage ride at WL we booked it in time to watch WISHES the whole ride!!!

I would add a pic of the flutes but for some reason I cant get it into my reply.....

We love to watch Illuminations down by the water next to the Rose and Crown Pub. Then sit on the bench for awhile after while the crowds leave. Like having the park to yourselves. we usually walk over to the Boardwalk after.
Also love to get drinks and watch Wishes from the beach at the Poly.

One year a boyfriend took me to the food and wine festival for my birthday. One of my best romantic Disney moments was sitting by the Gondola dock in front of the Italy Pavilion sipping our Moet and Chandon champagne from the dessert booth!
Later that night we had a wonderful dinner at California Grill and watched Wishes from the outdoor deck.

Wow, these are all great suggestions. I'm convinced that DH and I should go to WDW too! Is there anything romantic at the Animal Kingdom?

I absolutely love this!! We will be there in 3 days. This is always my favorite thing to do. It's so relaxing with the sun beating in your face and just floating with your hubby hooked on to you, while opening your eyes every once in a while and catching a palm tree as you float by.... ahhhhh.....
