What's the longest you've waited for an attraction?

We waited over 2 hours for Indiana Jones the year it opened in DL. We really wanted to ride it and since we go to DL so infrequently knew it would be years till we got back.

At WDW we won't get into a line if wait is posted over 45mins for the major rides. Some rides we won't get in if it's over 30mins. We go often enough that we know we can always catch it later with a shorter wait.

I shake my head at people jumping into lines posted at 1 hour and longer waits....they won't be able to experience very many attractions, so I hope they are getting onto the ones they really want to see!

50 minutes for Kali River Rapids in September. Never again. Way to hot that time of year to be waiting outside.

Actually had my itouch with a book on it so read for the most part but even inside I think that would be the limit of my patience. I'm not the best when it comes to waiting anyway so the heat played into it but having rode most everything there I'd say the chances of me waiting for that long again are very slim.

I'd rather miss than wait and I've done that with a whole lot of shows, but I figure it gives me something to do next time.

I have never ridden TSM, I'm not willing to wait for it (I was under impressed with Buzz and it appears to be similar), when I hit DHS I'm thinking ToT and RnR or StarTours.

I'm curious to know what the longest amount of time someone has waited in line for an attraction? I've seen the 3 and 4 hours waits for Soarin' and can't believe people still get in line. The longest stand-by I will get in is 60 min. What about everyone else?

I remember waiting for 2 hours when we were kids in the 80's without ever thinking twice. I guess it was just "what you did" back then. Now I guess we are kind of spoiled. We look at 60 minutes and are horrified. We did wait 60 minutes for Soarin' once. I think now 40 minutes is pretty much the max. We do get to the parks early enough to grab fast passes for any must do attractions.

Not at Disney but we did wait 2 Hours for Forbidden Journey at Universal. I will say that it was worth it to do once but no way would I wait that long for it again or for anything else that I can think of.

At Disney we never waited more than 30 minutes, usually less.

How about 2 Hours in a standing line to sign my daughter up for a gymnastics class? That sucked!

I was thinking how crazy all these people were and then remembered that this was us as well. We waited about 2 hours for Forbidden Journey our first ride, then I introduced my 3 friends to the joys of single ridership. We rode an additional 7 times in the time it took to go on once in standby

Also, to the person who asked about the accuracy of times, we tend to find that in general, the posted times are longer than the actual wait, by about 10 minutes, but sometimes even moreso. We wonder if Disney does this on purpose, so that when you wait 45 minutes to go on peter pan, you think it's awesome because the wait time was 60 ;)

I've waited 90 minutes twice. Once for Soarin' when it first came out and this past Sunday waiting for the Robin Hood M&G. I managed to get in line for RH 10 minutes before the characters took a break and ended up being first in line for when they came back. There was no way I was giving that spot up so I sat down and ate lunch. Both of those waits were totally worth it and I'm usually a 20 minutes or less kinda girl.

I've waited 50 mins for Toy Story Mania, a bit longer for Soarin' too...but the longest wait was last summer. We were near the parks visiting family and decided to go on a whim...we r AP holders....arrived at HS midday, and my son realized he was FINALLy tall enough for Rockin' Rollercoaster...no FP to be had....we waited over an hour....the wait in the heat was miserable, but I would do it again and again for him!

I try to limit it to 20 minutes, since I have a 7 and 5 year old. I have waiting about 80 minutes for Space Mountain back in the days before FP.

Think the longest we've ever waited has been 45-60 minutes on 4 different occasions.

Radiator Springs at Disneyland - 45 minutes.
Transformers at Universal Studios Hollywood - 45 minutes.
WWoHP-Forbidden Journey at Islands of Adventure (the year it first opened) - 60 minutes.
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (our first trip ever to WDW and we didn't know about FP's at the time) - 60 minutes.

Now we typically won't get in a line if the wait time is posted longer than 30 minutes, or don't have a FP for.

60 minutes is my max but only for headliners. The longest wait I have had was about 90 minutes on both TSM and Soarin' when it was posted as 60 minutes.

I will not get in a line with a posted wait time of more than 30 minutes. Usually the actual wait is not as long as the posted wait. However we did get in line for soarin one time with a posted wait time of 30 minutes and we were in line for 25 minutes. That is the longest we have ever been in line. But we go during the off season when most kids are in school.

I'm not good at standing around and waiting for anything. There is no ride ever made that I would stand in line 45 minutes or an hour for.

70m for the new Little Mermaid ride :furious: - the posted wait time was 20m. :p

90+ minutes for Space Mountain in the late 80s/early 90s. We waited about 60 min and were in the next group to ride when it broke down for 30-40min.

I don't get in line for anything over 30min unless I think the line looks smaller than the posted time.

Under normal circumstances, 20-30 minutes, tops. But we did stand in a 60 minute line for ETWB just after New Year's this year. We went straight to ETWB at rope drop, and STILL had to stand in line (in the rain, no less) for an hour. Worth it to have done, but I'm not sure we will wait like that again...

2.5 hrs in the summer heat in line for Splash Mountain when it was new. Never again will I wait that long. I think 30-45 min is the longest I'll wait for a ride.

At Disneyland, we typically will wait no longer than 40 minutes. We've gone Friday nights when fast passes are gone and crowd levels are high. We will wait that long for space mountain or TSMM. Once, DH and I waited an hour for RSR. We went on a Sunday afternoon so we couldn't get fast passes, but we really wanted to ride together the first time. This was months after it opened, btw. Since we have passes we don't do new attractions right away.

At Disney World, it's easier to plan smarter since we are there all day. Last time I don't remember ever waiting longer than 30 or 40 min because of fast passes. This year we will be utilizing rope drop and EMH (thanks disboards!!) so it'll be even better I think!!

80 mins for TSM. Once, it was posted as a 70 min wait for space mt., but it was more of a 20 min wait.

WAAAAY back before Fastpass, when the Indiana Jones ride opened up in Disneyland we waited for almost 4 hours...yes 4 hours to ride it. I have no idea how we managed to do that.
