What's the longest time between visits?

What is the longest time between visits to WDW. My current longest is 6 years and I do not wish to approach this length of time again.

Mine is 10 years! I had gone about every 2 or three years when I was a teenager, and then my husband and I went on our honeymoon in 1993. We just went back last February with our 5 yr old DD. It was great because I got to ride ToT, RnRC, and Test Track for the first time. They were just building ToT when I was there in '93! Of course, I did miss Horizions! I would have to say though, of all the times I have been there, this last trip was the best. There is nothing like experiencing WDW through the eyes of your child.

Mine was 8 years (I went when I was 8, then not again until I was 16). Now I go at least once a year.

Without going into the long, boring details, it had been 9 years between trips for me. Went in 1992 on a whim for a late honeymoon and then didn't get to go again until 2001 with my (then 5yo) DS. Out of all of our trips thusfar, that one in 2001 was my absolute favorite. Josh was (relatively) healthy--not on dialysis at the time. He was FULL of energy and he soaked in every ounce of Pixie Dust in EVERY square inch of EVERYWHERE we went!!! It was my first time on property (probably will never stay off property again!!!) and Josh was so "awed" by the whole thing. It was so magical seeing it through his eyes.

I am hoping and praying that this trip is just as magical. He's feeling much better than he was when we went in April 2003, so we'll see!!! Regardless, we are going to go and enjoy ourselves, even if we do it at a snail's pace!!!!

9 Years. I went when I was 7, then again at 16. I then had another gap of 7 years until I was 23.

It has been 11 years since I have visited WDW! We stayed at the BC and the Boardwalk was under construction!! My parents live in So. Ca. so the kids and I go to DL nonstop when we are out there for visits. We have just started planning for the big WDW trip for 2005. The littlest one will be 4 and the other two 9 and 11. I am so excited I can hardly contain myself. This website is so amazing...what a wealth of information! Thank you to everyone for sharing!

23 Years

I went to WDW for my first time at age 13 in 1977. The next time I went was when I took my wife there in Oct 2000 for our 15th Wedding Anniversary!

between the 2 visits, EPCOT opened, Studios Opened, Animal Kingdom Opened, DownTown Disney Opened, Disney Vaction Club was created, River Country Closed, Typhoon Lagoon Opened, and Blizzard Beach Openend. Not to mention all the new resorts, the closing of Treasure (Discovery) Island, and the removal of the topiary along the main drive...

Since then We've been back in 2001, and 2003. We will be going back in Oct '04 or '05.

I went in 1980, and didn't come back until 1992 (12 years). After a short visit for a conference in 1994, another 7 year gap until 2001. I think I've got the hang of it now, and we've had annual trips in 2002 and 2003. Hopefully we'll continue to go once a year.

We went 12 years ago for our honeymoon, and we're making a happy return in a few weeks with our five beautiful children (who'd have thought?)
Honestly didn't think we'd be going this soon, but it just worked out.
Hopefully we will be going back sooner after this one.

Twenty-seven years!

My parents took me in 1973 when I was 11 and I didn't go back until 2000 when my own kids were 2 & 5. Of course, we've now been to WDW three times and gone on a Disney cruise in less than four years.

since I've actually had a job and could afford to go, there's been a 5 year hiatus between 1995 and 2000.

Now two months is too long to wait.

Right now it stands at almost 3 years since our last visit in May of 2001. However, when our trip rolls around in 2006, it will be 5 years by that time!

My family went in 1973 - when MK WAS WDW. We spent one day there and it was very hot and I had a fever on top of that and that experience made me not want to do Disney again...then for 2003 spring break we went to DLR in CA and I was hooked. We plan to visit WDW in 2005, so I guess that will make it 32 years between visits. Has anything changed?

Oh yeah...I just remembered the other reason why the day back in 1973 was one I didn't want to repeat ... we went with lots of relatives...
