What's the longest line you'll get on?

when its super hot out....Pirates of the Carribbean ...nothing beats the air conditioned waiting in line thing! Other than that...splash, BTMRR, space, tot, rnr

We are a 10 minute family. I guess depending on our mood and the ride we might get in a 15 minute line, but that hasn't happened in quite awhile.

I'm with the majority of you -- I won't get into a line that has more than a 15-20 minute wait. Which raises the question -- obviously there are a lot of people who disagree with us, because you see those monstrous lines all the time. So where are those people?

Probably in line somewhere, I suppose.

The most we will wait is 20 mins but we tend to go in early and get FP the come out midday. I think the longest we have waited is 10 mins

I think this thread, tho very interesting, can be deceptive to new people. When we were there space mountain never had a wait time posted under 20 minutes, even when there was no wait at all and it was confirmed by the CM that this was the bottom time they would post (and I read another thread recently about another ride that did this, I think it was EE). For those who are stating they won't wait more than 10-15 min how do you do these rides that will never post a wait time less than 20? :confused3

My line snobbery is 20 - 30 minutes depending on the ride, for fantasyland it's probably 10-15.

we go off season too and the longest i remember ever waiting is 15-20 mins for totor maybe if we were tired and so stood around and waited for a show type attraction that we just missed instead of coming back later...

i might wait for 1/2 an hr for something i really like but so far haven't had to and probably would come back later first, so it would have to be a 30 min wait on tot on the last time we would be in mgm for the trip when it 's close to closing and i hadn't ridden it the whole trip.... which would be really unlikely since we do it first thing emh am... :thumbsup2

to the poster who asked ( forget your name sorry)
we always ask the cm if we see people waiting, usually there aren't any so no wait but they don't change it... either that or us off season people have a sixth sense about wait times :rotfl: ;) usually by the time we walk through the waiting area it's our turn and lots of times the cms are hurrying us along which i hate since i miss all the important theming details

It was me. (Steve)

Last night, we were watching the A&E special (on Tivo :cool1: ) and they showed the gravity wheel on M:S. My wife screamed - "Oh my God, what's that!" and my son and I looked at each other like "What planet are you from?"

Then I realized that my wife only rode it once, hated it, and hasn't ridden it since. When she rode it, she had my DD3, who was too short and waited in the parent swap area. She had probably never been through the ride queue.

So I'll ask a follow-up question?

Which rides' "theming" is so good you don't mind waiting in the line queue?

My short list (off the top of my head):

Soarin (questions are fun)
Kali RR
M:S
Space Mtn.
Gr Mv Rd
Star Tours (although I hate the actual ride)
Muppets 3D

And... Do you feel "robbed" by not getting a chance to look at everything if the lines are moving?

Steve

I also will only wait 15-20 minutes, although we made an exception for EE because we had heard the theming in the queue was so good. Which it was. The posted wait time was 30 min but it only took 20.

First thing in the morning...or fastpass

I'll get in line if the wait time says 40 mins or less. Alot of times though the wait isn't that long. I went on Soarin with a 40 min. wait time and we only waited maybe 10 minutes, if that! On EE the wait time was 40 mins and we waited 30...that was the longest I waited for anything last trip, which was just last week. RNR had a posted wait time of 30 mins and we practically walked right on. You can't always go by the posted wait times.

Me and Dh try to use fast pass as much as possible, but we also go in July where there are long lines. We go for at least 8 days so we have plenty of time to do everything we want to do. If we have a chunk of time with nothing to do and fast passes aren't convenient, we'll wait an hour like nothing. Especially if the Q line is air conditioned.

Hi Calie--I've seen wait times for less than 20 min. at Space--probably, as another poster said, first thing in the morning. That's when we'll use the stand-by line. After it goes to 20 min, we get a fastpass and move on.

And Steve--one ride I really wanted to wait in line longer was Indiana Jones in Disneyland. The theming is awesome--some interactive stuff, too--but our line was moving along so fast I missed most.
(Great thread, BTW! :thumbsup2 )

I also go in the off season and tend to not have to wait long, but I am willing to wait up to an hour for rides I have done before and maybe up to 90 for those I haven't (if I cannot get a FP)

i feel like i am definitely missing something...my biggest gripe is tot since it has so many posts about all the details..not a big enough problem to make me want to go in summer but last time i tried to linger and let others pass and the cm kept coming back and telling me nicely to "move it sista" :teeth:

plus no time to search for any hidden mickeys (which probably I would need at least a 4 hr wait for me to find even an obvious one)

10-15 we vist often so I don't wait in lines if I'm not in withdrawl for that ride...lol!
