Years ago, you used to FAX in requests.

We're staying at Caribbean Beach Resort, and I want to request a specific building (Jamaica).

What's the best procedure now?

TIA,

Call CRO and have it added to your reservation. If you went through a Travel Agent, notify them. Many of the resorts just toss the faxes because they get so many.

I've had very good luck faxing in my request. I've done it for the last 4 years, or so, and have had very good luck. Almost always get what I ask for. Last time (at POP) I requested 50's, facing the lake, top floor. I got 50's, facing the lake, 3rd floor. I was happy with our room location. I've always faxed it in 4 days before.

Most of the time I request close to the food court and parking lot. This time I went for something different. We wanted to see the fireworks from Epcot from our room. We did-along with MGM and MK and some awesome lightning displays.

Good luck. HTHs. :wizard:

I've never faxed.. Simply added the request to my reservation with CRO. Never been a problem.. got my request each time.

The best way is to first make your requests at time of booking. You can also call a few days before you arrive and re-confirm them. I wouldn't bother faxing, because it seems as if they do not really read them anymore. I am sure they get way too many to have time to go through all of them. I would not count on faxes anymore.

I'm not that familiar with the layout of CBR but is Jamaica considered "preferred"? If so and you booked preferred then requesting the building at time of ressie is appropriate. If it's preferred and you booked non-preferred then it's another story. Usually requests that you made are noted on your confirmation- you can always call CRO back and add your request for a location or even a building # or floor, but remember requests are not gtd. but you would be gtd either preferred or non-preferred locations based on what you booked.---Kathy

No, I think only Marinique and Trinidad (either north or south, can't remember which) are preferred.

There are some water view rooms in Jamaica, but I don't care about asking for that.
