What's the latest news on xPass

I've been out of the loop for a while, and was wondering if there had been any recent updates (rumors or released info) about the xPass / NextGen system.

It looks like it will officially be called Fastpass+. There have been a lot of guests getting invitations to participate in the next round of testing which I believe begins next week.

If you check the Theme Park Strategy forum, you'll find quite a few people reporting about it.

Fastpass+ or NextGen sounds so much better than "xpass". just doesn't quite have the disney ring to it.

Then again iPad was laughed at when that name was released, but it still sold....

There is plenty of info on the Theme Park Strategy Board, but here is a snap shot....

Invitations were sent out via email, as this round of testing focuses on the internet side of things, the reservations, and of course the actually facilitating the FP+ program.

It was pretty sweet set up, I picked the day, the members of my party that wanted what rides, and was given reserved seating for Wishes, Main Street Electric Parade and then times to go right up to the FastPass Line for 2 Other Rides, looks like its going to be a cool way to guarantee that you can ride a few must do rides or see a few must see shows/attractions before you even get to the park...

Any word on if it will be available to everyone or only those staying onsite? What about different benefits for different resort levels?
