What's the last movie you saw?

We went and saw Big Momma's House 2. Funny movie.

In the theater - Hoodwinked, It was OK
On TV - Cheaper by the Dozen, I had forgotten how funny it was
DVD we own - Mary Poppins, love it

Last movie I saw in a theater....Cry Wolf...very good (you guessed it...Jon Bon Jovi is in it!) :cool1:

Currently watching Wedding Crashers on DVD...pretty good!!! :thumbsup2

We go to a lot of movies since we're lucky enough to get free admission. Of the ones playing now, here's my opinions:

Brokeback Mountain -- liked it a lot. The scenery is breathtaking and the acting is outstanding. The story is very thought provoking. I found a couple of scenes a little uncomfortable while DH found them very uncomfortable.

Syriana -- gripping and interesting, but I sure didn't understand everything that was happening. Clooney is wonderful.

Hoodwinked -- DH, DS11 and I all thought it was creative and funny. The goat was my favorite part.

King Kong -- I liked it least of my family of five -- I thought it was just too long. Everyone else loved it.

Narnia -- loved it.

Memoirs of a Geisha -- DH and I both liked it although we saw it the night after King Kong and I couldn't believe I was in another long movie!

Walk the Line -- Wonderful, wonderful movie with excellent acting.

In the theater...Hoodwinked...kids movies are the story of my life these days. It was ok, but not on par with the Pixar movies or Shrek.

Last few on Netflix...

Redeye...entertaining "thriller"...not especially thrilling, but not boring either.

Hustle and Flow...I thought it was ok, DH thought it was the best movie of 2005.

The Constant Gardener...I loved it, DH thought it was Ok.

The Aristocrats...I completely hated it. I don't mind shocking, but I expected funny, and the laughs were too few for the foulness of it.

at home: Man of the House, cute and funny, but glad I didn't pay theater price to see.

at theater: Cheaper by the Dozen 2, has to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I thought Yours Mine and Ours was cheesy until I saw Cheaper by the Dozen 2. I can sit through about anything, but this was really, really painful.

I love movies and yet this has NOT been a movie year for me. I have not seen many. Hope to make up for it this year.

Last movie I saw in a theatre:
Chicken Little - good for the kids, that's about it.

At home:
Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. :thumbsup2

Walk the Line

I HOPE those hearts signify a love of the movie and NOT, specifically, Joaquin Phoenix. I've got dibs you know. And on Ewan McGregor too.

Last movie I saw in the theater was...um...I forget. It hasn't been horribly long. I think it may have been the newest Harry Potter movie.

The last movies I rented (on the same day) - Flight Plan - I liked it ok, and Corpse Bride - that one I thought was pretty cute.

In theaters - The Chronicles of Narnia last Tuesday - didn't like it all that much. Too long and boring (like those Harry Potter movies...I know, I'm alone in thinking this)

At home - Red Eye - Saw it in theaters and liked it, rented it for my parents and watched it again and liked it even more. Rachel McAdams gets a definite :thumbsup2 from me.

Last movie I saw in the theatre was Glory Road, but I didn't mean to. I was ill during our WDW vacation and just wanted to sit down for a bit, and DH likes basketball. Very mediocre, substandard film. Rent Hoosiers instead.

Last film I saw on DVD was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which is one of the most fantastic, original films I've ever seen. I had been raving about it since I saw it in the theatre and my brother got it for me as a Christmas gift.

Corpse bride, :thumbsup2 Legend of Zorro, (OK) In her shoes :thumbsup2
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire :thumbsup2 , Chronicles of Narnia :thumbsup2 Brokeback Mountain :thumbsup2

We saw 2 movies in theaters this week:

King Kong - very good, but Peter Jackson does need an editor to tell him when to cut! It got to a point where I said to my DP, "If we have one more 'slow motion with elfsong' moment, I'm gonna scream..."

The Producers - excellent. The first 20 minutes or so we were thinking "Zero did that line better", or "Gene did that part better", but then Nathan and Matthew won us over.

Then last night we had a friend over for dinner, and she brought the DVD of Pedro Almodovar's 'All About My Mother' over. Not the type of film I'd ordinarily pick (too depressing), but very well done nonetheless...

Just finished watching 40 Year Old Virgin :thumbsup2
I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a long time.

I have been watching the "Queer as Folk" series; fabulous. Absolutely addicting. I have lost many hours of sleep during the last week staying up watching it all night. An episode ends and I just can't stop and go to bed! I rarely get "in" to TV shows, but this one has me glued to the set.

The last movie I watched in the theater was "Brokeback Mountain." I liked it a lot. I would give it a 8.5.

Before that, it was "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." My daughter and I saw it ten times in the theater. We didn't like it at all. ;)

In the theater, The Family Stone. I liked parts of the movie, but I didn't like the message that recreational drug use is acceptable and even a good thing.

Last movie before that was HP4.

Video: yesterday we watched Signs. I'd seen it before, but back then DD12 was too young. She really wanted to see it, and loved it. (She also loved The Village and The Sixth Sense, and is eagerly awaiting the next M. Night Shyamalon movie.) Earlier in the week we watched Flightplan.
