What's the "gift with purchase" on board the Wonder to Alaska?

Going on the Wonder in a few weeks and wondering what the on board gift with purchase is. Also wondering what "Alaska" themed items are available...mugs, t-shirts, jackets, blankets? Please post pictures if possible

Are you talking about the "Buy more - Spend More" promotions like they do at the parks? Usually the WDW stores have a sign that says something like "Receive a WDW Tote Bag ... with $25 purchase ... for $19.95". (The wording on the sign always irks me a bit)

I seem to remember a similar promotion on the ship with a watch or a towel, but I don't have any photos of the in-store signs. Maybe I'm confusing a WDW shop ...

There wasn't a gift with purchase when I was on the Wonder a few weeks ago. I only saw a gift with purchase on one of my cruises in 2013, it was a Bahamas cruise and the gift was a watch.

As far as "Alaska" stuff I bought an Alaska DCL photo album. There really wasn't anything great, tee shirts, mugs, sweatshirts, picture frames, etc. the usual, I was disappointed with the selection. Not sure what I was expecting.

During our June cruise you could "buy" a fleece lap blanket with Alaska on it if you spent over a certain amount on other items. I am sorry for being a bit vague but I need to find my receipt to know the particulars regarding cost and amount you needed to spend.

Items on board were t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, lanyards, mugs, photo albums, photo frames, magnets, post cards, little Mickey and Minnie statues. The usual you would see. There was also freezing the night away merchandise and some of that said Alaska on it as well. I was happy with the selection but disappointed that they no longer were selling the stuffed animals dressed in Alaska gear like on previous cruises to Alaska.

There is no free gift, but on our cruise in June they had spend 25.00 and buy an Alaska fleece blanket for 20.00. I bought stuff on the first night and got the fleece blanket as well. It is so cute and keep it in the car for when the kids get cold. The next day I wanted another one so my mom went to the shops to buy some things and pick up a fleece too but they were sold out already! And that was literally less than 24 hours of cruise starting. I don't know if they ran out and were just clearing them out or if they have a limited number per cruise. So I strongly recommend if you want one go the first night and if they have it get it right away...

Yup! That's exactly what I'm trying to find out. When I cruised a few years ago it was a fleece blanket that had Alaska 2013 on it. I was hoping I'd get a new one

why yes, they do offer exactly that! we bought ours a few weeks ago and i can't wait for the fall to arrive so i can use it while being a couch potato at night!



it was a little less than $20 if i recall correctly.

enjoy your cruise! oh how envious i am that you are going to alaska again. it was our first DCL trip and we had a blast!

btw hubby and i both recall one had to make a minimum purchase of $40 before you can buy the blanket for ~$20. interesting that the minimum threshold was only $25 when @sunryzez sailed a month earlier.

do they sell these blankets in the carribean cruises?

Alaska gear this year was lacking, no character totem poles or nesting dolls, no Alaska themes plushes. I was SO disappointed. My daughter wanted the plushes SO SO badly. I wish I never would have shown her the plushes before we left. I never would have imagined they wouldn't sell them this year. I was really looking forward to the character totem pole.

Fyi we were on the June 29 sailing and they let us buy as many fleece blankets as we wanted as long as we met the minimum purchase. There were still plenty available on the last night but maybe because we were on an earlier sailing. They also have an exclusive Alaska pin but we had to ask for it because they keep it behind the counter. You can also buy a mystery pin with a minimum purchase. Its a character on an anchor. Luckily a cast member felt it and told us what character it was so we didn't get duplicates.

There was some totem pole, but I recall it was heavy.

They said they didn't make them this year, something about only having a small amount of Alaska sailings. I was so bummed. (Still am!)

The totem pole they had this year was a picture holder, with a totem pole and a Mickey and Minnie figure. Last year, they had totem poles made of the characters. I was really hoping to snag one. I did grab the picture holder and yes, it was really HEAVY! Lol
