What's the fast pass?

Well, I know what it is, but how do you get one? I want to do the safari at AK and if there's a line up, then we'd want to go eat or something and then come back. Is there a certain amount of time you have to get back? How does it work?

It works like this...outside of rides are fast pass machines. You insert your park ticket into the machine and it spits back out your ticket and a little slip of paper. On the paper it tells you when to return ... example 1:30-2:30 . You come back to the ride and go through the fast pass line.

Don't worry about it..as kevin yee on Miceage says the fastpass just ruins the thempark experience...it deprives you of the joys of the lines that the imagineers have worked hard to make interesting...

seriously--the fastpass will have a time printed on it for when you should come back...that time depends on how popular the ride is and when you get it...earlier in the day the return time may be an hour later...later on in the day it might be several hours later....

For Kilimanjaro Safaris at Animal Kingdom the fast pass machines are something like twenty feet to the right of the ride entrance.

The time to come back with your fast pass is also posted above the area where the machines are, so you can decide beforehand whether to get a fast pass and plan around that time.

The time you can get a fast pass for something else is not posted but is never more than abour two hours later. Less if the park is not so busy or if the come back time for this ride is sooner.

One fast pass per person per park ticket used for admission that day. Don't forget to get back all the park tickets if you get fast passes for the whole family.

Sounds good...I heard the safari isn't busy really early, so hopefully we won't need the FP.
