Grinders are subs that take a stroll through the Pizza Oven. DH (who used to deliver bread and rolls) says mostly to stretch some of the rolls that are 'ever so slightly' past thier peak of freshness. But, *********** got it right. And of course JoNo, now I want a shrimp po'boy RIGHT now from that description.

Here in South Jersey it's a hoagie. That goes for Philly too. Around here a grinder I believe is a hot hoagie.
