Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board and the Theme Park Plans board?

TPA&S always used to be the catch all where people could post almost everything - the busiest board and the best for scrolling.

From what I see now, the moderator(s) is zealous about removing half the posts. Not sure what fits the description anymore.

The definition of the two boards seems to be a bit fluid. There are a lot of Theme Park Planning threads allowed to live in this sub-forum. Even some of the stickies seem better suited for the other forum.

The site could use a refresh.

I didn’t even notice that there is a Theme Park Plans sub forum.

I would have a hard time distinguishing between a plan and a strategy.

My interpretation from what I've seen posted at TPP is that the posts are more focused on your park planning strategies only and TPA and S is more broad.
This is a great summary.

Theme Park Plans (TPP)
The description when you hover over the title of the 'Theme Park Plans' sub-forums is, 'Here is the place to share your theme park plans, ask for theme park planning help, and help others with their theme park plans!'

Within the TPP board are posts asking specifics of individual trips, guidance about a guest's trip. e.g.
- How does this day at ..... sound?
- Here's are my plans. Looking for feedback
- Would you go in June or October?
- Our family's first trip to WDW. How does this plan sound?

There are many reasons why this sub-forum was created.
- DISboard members who are skilled at helping others with trip planning can find all similar threads in one location. To those of you who offer this - thank you! (As one planning our first trip to Disneyland, the skills you offer are greatly appreciated as I'm trying to find people to help us on the DL board who can answer similar questions.)
- Due to the volume of posts on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board (one of the busiest boards on DISboards), having a number of 'trip specific' threads on the main board means valid, general questions on the main thread quickly get pushed to the second page. Many people never scroll past the first page of a forum so valid questions go unanswered purely because few saw them. Moving trip specific threads to one location helps decrease the chances of this happening
- As with all of the sub-forums, it helps people look for an existing thread with a similar question. Rather than have to wait for an answer to a question, there's a possibility someone else asked the same question and you'll have answers immediately rather than having to wait.

I hope this helps understand why the TPP board is available and why posts are sometimes moved there.

It should be reversed. A strategy is more detailed than a plan. You might have a plan to see an attraction. The strategy is how it might happen. I'm a retired math teacher. There are multiple strategies to answer a single question.

The main forum should be Theme Park Attractions and Plans. The sub forum should be Theme Park Strategies. Just saying since the question was posted.

I don't usually visit the sub-forums. I scroll the first page of a forum and that's it. I am sometimes perplexed to see several posts removed from the first page too.

Off topic: What happened to the preview button? I only see Post reply.

One has a gazillion more members browsing it who will respond more quickly, and the other does not.

As long as no one who has had their thread moved to the Theme Park Plans subforum is complaining, I guess there is no problem.

But I wouldn't be happy to have any of my threads moved to the subforum because I would expect to get less help there.
