Whats the difference between yacht club and beach club

The biggest difference to me is the theme/decor, with BC having a light, airy beach atmosphere while the YC has a nautical atmosphere. BC is a little closer to Epcot and the YC is a little closer to the boat dock, with both resorts sharing SAB. When you say YC is more expensive, are you sure you're pricing the same room categories? I ask because other than the decor being different and each one being a little closer to different things, they are pretty much the same resort and the cost should be the same.

YC is always slightly more expensive here in the UK, I assume Disney factors in the more upscale decor and ambience.

YC rooms all have full balconies; only about 50% of the BC rooms do. YC has a signature restaurant and a casual restaurant. BC only has a casual restaurant.

That's so odd... we're kind of between the 2 resorts, completely undecided  and I priced out the Garden View room for each w/ deluxe dining / 8 day park hopper... the price was exactly the same to the penny.

Now if I could only make up my mind which I wanted to go with!!! :scared: (it's driving the DH to lunacy!)

I would try pricing again and just make sure your room categories are the same and that all things are equal....

Everything I see about pricing has them exactly the same. Make sure you are comparing the same room category.

The differences are mostly that all YC rooms have full balconies and relatively few BC have balconies. The colors tend to make the BC seem brighter. BC has the BC marketplace that almost qualifies as CS and YC doesn't really have an equivalent, but does serve coffie/juice/bagels/pastries at the Crew's Cup Lounge off the lobby for breakfast. YC is closer to the boat dock for the boat to DHS. BC is closer walk to Epcot. BC is closer to the Stormalong Bay water slide area.

Personally, I prefer BC's beachy theming in the Spring/Summer and the YC's slightly more upscale feeling nautical theme for the Holiday season. You cant go wrong either way ... they are both wonderful resorts.

Yacht club is more expensive. Why?

I'm guessing that becasue the standard room at YC has a full balconey and the standard room at BC has only a partial or step balcony.

The BC rooms with garden or water views with a full balconey are the same price as the YC.

The standard view rooms are the same price as well.

Apparently not for folks in the UK, and I have seen on the WDW site YC rooms slightly more expensive.

In my experience, the prices have always been the same between the two whenever I've quoted both resorts. I also pulled up the UK site and it showed the same price for both resorts for all categories, so I'm not sure where the difference is...maybe a glitch in the system.
