What's the difference between Charter flights and package deal flights?

Hi
We've booked Charter flights for October this year on the Thomson Dreamliner (we booked last May) but I'm worrying now.

What does Charter flight mean?
We've upgraded to Premium.

Do we still get food etc on the plane or have we just paid for our seats?

Charter means that its an airline by a tour operator like thomsons etc. scheduled airlines are the ones like virgin, ba etc

Nothing with with charter its nirmally full of holiday makers where as scheduled airlines may have business and holiday passengers on

Charter flights are usually sold as part of a package holiday and even when they are not they are generally more restrictive with what you can book eg only returns and usually 7, 14 or 21 nights.

What you get included will vary from airline to airline and you need to check your booking and it will tell you. Most long haul flights include a meal.

One thing to check is that your luggage is included . When the flight is booked as a stand alone instead of part of a holiday you will usually need to pay an additional amount for your cases. Also check which airport you will land at most charters are to Sanford, not that that is an issue- in fact we preferred it.

also found that luggage weight allowance is generally less...I think Thomsons is 15 to 20kgs in economy but goes up for premium economy. Personally I need as much as I can get on my way home
