What's the difference between a private and public poll?

I was reading a poll thread and they kept talking about it being private. It looked the same as always to me. What's the scoop?

With a public poll you can click on it and see the names of everyone who voted and how they voted.

It a private poll you only see the results.

Thanks. In 6 1/2 years, I never noticed that! Most people must make their polls private because when I first saw the public/private thing I tried clicking around a bunch of polls and couldn't see a thing.

At a private pool, you have to be a member...but anyone can go to a public pool..... ooops...nevermind.
