If anybody can help with info about the following i'd be soooo grateful.

We are staying at the Vistana on south Int. drive. We are non drivers.
On tripadvisor a guy from the uk who I mailed suggested getting our first taxi via the hotel and then getting the drivers private cell phone number for our trips (if he /she was willing). Is this wise?
We're happy to use the i-ride going up and down i-drive to seaworld etc and the hotel has bus to WDW, I'm more concerned about getting to and from DTD in the evening. I don't want to be at the mercy of strict bus timetables.
If we are at DTD and want to get a taxi back to i-drive is that poss? If so, how?
Would anybody be able to take a rough guess at prices too?
Thanks a million.
mwah to all you helpful little bunnies........xx

You could get a taxi from Vistana on I-D and it will probably cost you about 20.00 each way. You could work with one driver, call the taxi system or pick up a taxi when DTD closes up. I would suggest call Mears 407-422-2222 and set up a time call for when you need to be picked up to go to DTD. When you want to leave DTD just pick up a cab at Pleasure Island when you want to head back home. Working with a driver and a cell phone could cause you to wait when you don't want because drivers will take other rides while you are in DTD. You would have to set up a time for pickup and sometimes that driver may not even show back up. Do not pay up front for rides. Taxis at Disney are fairly easy to pick up.
