What's the Deal on sharing

I saw a couple of post where it say it's up to a restaurant if they allow you to share. Does that mean if I go in with my Husband for a late night meal and were not that hungry that we can share 1 meal with some drinks if the restraunt allows it. Just wondering.

No sharing at buffets, family style, fixed price restaurants or dinner shows.

No sharing at Beaches & Cream or Via Napoli.

Other than that, sharing appears to be generally allowed.

Some places, such as Rainforest Cafe, may charge you a plate fee of $1.00. It is still cheaper than buying two meals though.

When I took my mom several years ago, she and I split a lot of meals that week, since she is a very light eater.

Wow I'm in shock totally didn't think that would be aloud.... glad I asked. Thanks!! Leaving tomorrow Morrning....

Do they still serve the Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream? I would hope they still allow sharing...we always shared our ice cream in the past.

That's on the dining plan they don't allow sharing (assuming this was about the dining plan because it's on the dining plan board). If you're paying cash you can share as much as you want. And you can't get the Kitchen Sink on the dining plan.

Just for clarity, a fixed price restaurant is not the same as a restaurant with a fixed price menu.

Kona has a fixed price menu but it also sells items a la carte. There's nothing that says you won't be able to share at Kona or any other a la carte that has a separate fixed price menu as an extra feature.

A fixed price restaurant is one that has a single "admission" price for each diner, but doesn't qualify as a buffet (where you get up and assemble your own plate) or family style (where a fixed menu is brought to the table in large portions to be shared). Akershus (which does have a partial buffet) and Cinderella's Royal Table are fixed price restaurants. You pay one price, but they have a menu that you order from. You will not be able to share a meal at those places (whether or not you are on the dining plan).

Les Chefs has the prix fixe lunch, could that be shared? I would order everyone a drink but not looking to eat heavy during the day.
